Join the South West Coast Path from your doorstep in either direction to further explore the south Cornwall coast; head east towards Rame Head Heritage Coast, passing Wild Features monkey sanctuary, the waterfront park of Seaton Valley, which offers a swimming beach and playground, Tregantle Fort and picturesque sandy beach with rocky coves and the medieval St Michael's Chapel, which stands prominently on the headland of Rame Head, while a journey west will lead to the Polperro Heritage Coast, encompassing the fishing port of Looe, split into East and West Looe, offering picturesque beaches and joined by a seven arched 19th century bridge over the river, picturesque Polperro with its magnificent harbour and museum, as well as its stunning beach, and further along the coast will bring you to the National Trust's Lantic Bay, a nature reserve and sheltered cove with Mediterranean-style white sand and turquoise water.
The market town of Liskeard is around eight miles away, with a great selection of amenities, as well as museums and other attractions, while the magnificent countryside of the Tamar Valley and Bodmin Moor are waiting to be discovered.
