  • "Previous reviews about lack of parking and poor TV service are accurate."

Parking is evidently on a first come first served basis in a small public carpark. Incredibly limited -there are even cones used to reserve a spot presumably for owner! No welcome pack (instructions) on how things worked and fridge was switched off at the wall, this had to pulled from underneath worktop to turn it on, so generally not a welcome feeling on arrival. No contact details for onsite support when needed. Personally wouldn’t recommend this property and my only experience of a Sykes property which hasn’t met what is advertised and normal high standards I have previously experienced on multiple occasions.

  • "The beds were very comfortable and plenty of room in the bedrooms, good bathrooms."

Tv was a bit hit and miss, we didn’t like the leather suite, not comfortable, we were made very welcome, given assistance on arrival with unloading. We would go back again, plenty to do in the area.

  • "First , no parking local to property ,when i did park i was told this is a private road."

Second , No privacy to sit outdoors just a Pub yard . Third , inside Cottage 2 no 0utlook through blinds just Pub yard and Pub rear many windows. The lounge was dark with old furniture. Very poor sound on TV ,this was set too low for some reason. All upstairs rooms were very comfortable inc. shower We would not visit this Pub outhouse again .

  • "Lovely comfy cottage, newly decorated and furnished."

Very comfy beds and the new sofa and chairs are ideal and comfy for relaxing. It has a large spacious kitchen and diner. It also has a large private gated courtyard to sit out in. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. We would not hesitate to recommend this property. The photos just don't do this property justice. In the photos the bedrooms look small but they aren't. They are decent sized rooms. Before we went we had concerns about the pub being next door but it was very quiet and friendly and serves good basic food and wasn't an issue.

  • "The property itself is very pleasant, needs a few touches hook behind the bathroom door and a chair in the bedroom would have been very useful."

The sofa in the living room is obviously old and saggs in the middle. There was a mix up on your site booking but that snot the landlords fault, he was very help ful. I thought I had booked cottage 1, all on one level, I have a stair lift at home and found the stairs very difficult.

Thank you for your feedback, the owner is looking at adding hooks behind the doors. And will look into renewing the sofa. We hope you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you in the future. Property Owner
