  • "Enjoyed holiday, lovely lodge, instructions for microwave, washer, dishwasher and how to adjust heating boiler would be useful, warm weather during our visit and heating came on about 2pm, we ended up turning radiators off."

We really had a good time.

  • "Check in time was extended from 3pm to 4pm which was disappointing & quite late in the day but still had to depart by 10am."

It is a beautiful lodge and all the little extra touches such as the welcome pack and kitchen provisions was a great help. However, the only downside if there is one I would say the singles bedroom is very small and beds are more suited for children than adults. My elderly parents had to have the double bedroom and I shared the small room with my partner and it wasn’t the most comfortable sleep due to the size of the beds and not sure I would of liked to cope for a week sleeping in them. Other than that it is a beautiful place in a great spot, and owner has thought pretty much thought of everything to help our stay be a good one. Many thanks

Thanks for leaving a review of your stay on our site. We are sorry your arrival time was delayed and we cannot think of the reason. Please query things with us as it might have been an admin error in an email? There certainly wasn't a delay that we were aware of. If we had realised we would have offered a later checkout or allowed your arrival of 3pm that you were expecting. The photos hopefully show the layout of the bedrooms and allow you to see the accommodation and all it has to offer. You're welcome back anytime and please always bring anything up with us that isn't right for you so that we can put it right at the time. Property Owner

With lots to see and so in the surrounding area. Would highly recommend a stay here

  • "Fabulous week."

The lodge, site and location were all 1st Class and our dog loved the Farm walk. Thank you. Jeff and Sarah

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review of your stay with us. The farm walk has a different view each time we walk it, the weather plays an huge part in that of course and sometimes the views are a bit further across towards Whitby than others. Glad you enjoyed it and we hope to welcome you back some time soon! Property Owner

  • "The chalet is really clean and comfortable."

The facilities are well prepared. Parking space is very good, enough for two cars. The area is very quiet, In the morning I sat outside the chalet, hearing birds in the bush chirping, looking at the clear sky and white clouds, having a fresh mind everyday. We really enjoyed our staying there. Thanks for everyone that make our holiday enjoyable.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review of your stay with us. We are fortunate to live in such a beautiful area of the National Park and the birds certainly make use of it! You can park right outside your lodge, great when unpacking and then loading the car. Our quietest times are in Winter when you have the park to yourselves - 2 lodges and lots of space to enjoy! But even at our busy times you still have a fenced off area to be able to enjoy and watch others from a distance! You're welcome back anytime we have space! Property Owner

About the location

HUTTON-LE-HOLE

Kirkbymoorside 3.5 miles; Pickering 8 miles.

Situated in the heart of the North York Moors National Park and handily placed for touring both Moors and Coast, the idyllic little village of Hutton-le-Hole is widely accepted as the prettiest in the area. Charming stone built cottages cluster around undulating village greens, with a stream (Hutton Beck) passing through. It's the perfect spot to sit and watch the world go by - but don't be surprised to find sheep grazing next to you! The village is home to the Ryedale Folk Museum, a 'hands on' museum of local life and tradition, which includes a reconstructed Elizabethan Manor House, farm buildings and craft shops. The village also has a complex of craft shops, workshops, tea rooms and gift shops. Nearby the attractive old market town of Kirkbymoorside lies on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, in between the towns of Helmsley and Pickering. It's a charming place with a slightly 'old fashioned feel' and visitors will find plenty to keep them occupied in the many shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants. There is even an 18 hole course for golf enthusiasts and Pickering is the base of the North York Moors Steam Railway - a 'must do' day out for all visitors to the area. Both the City of York and the Yorkshire Coast are within easy driving distance.
