Genoa has one of the largest and best preserved historical centers in Europe: an 18 km long medieval city wall, an intricate maze of narrow streets, several small and characteristic squares, rich in churches, old buildings with magnificent paintings, historic palaces. At the old port there is the second largest aquarium in Europe, the marine museum and the panoramic elevator Bigo by Renzo Piano.
