HOUSE

Private: Tai Saeng Chan Pavilion is a detached little house consisting of 3 floors. The uppermost floor comprises 1 mosquito-tight bedroom with queen-size bed (mattress 5 × 6.5 ft = 152 × 200 cm), wall-fan and shelves, and is surrounded by a roofed veranda. The middle floor is an open living space with sitting area and wall-fan. The ground-floor comprises a mosquito-tight living room (with table fan) with 2 window-doors facing the pond, the room includes a kitchenette (fully equipped, e.g. electric stove with 2 hobs, microwave, refrigerator, sink). The nearby bathroom is with shower (gas), hand-wash basin and western type toilet. A separate laundry hut comprises a washing machine. The tiny designed garden (lakeside) has a deck and private direct access to the natural community swimming pond.

Shared: Most of the 7,000 sqm large garden can be explored and used for recreation. The large natural pond, 7 meters deep, can be used for swimming and boating.

Free: WiFi Internet, tap water and electricity. Parking (1 car or 1 motorbike) within the property. Using the boat on the big pond. Using barbecue equipment in the garden.

At charge: The house is offered for self-catering, but we can offer food occasionally, e.g. breakfast if ordered in advance.

Recommendation: Public transport is possible and cheap but considered inconvenient by most guests. Therefore, you should have your own (rented) car, motorbike, scooter, or bicycle. We can guide you on how and where to rent.

This unique home is best suitable for people who like nature and an inspiring tranquil environment.

VICINITY

Baan Sammi Nature Resort is situated between two rural villages. Huge rice-fields, numerous irrigation ditches, canals and some streams hemmed by natural vegetation, scattered small rural villages with wooden houses and farm gardens are characteristic features of this not much developed landscape.

This area is part of the Chiang Mai intermountain basin, a widely broadened valley of the Ping River, little more than 300 meters above sea-level. The basin is about 25 kilometers wide and delimited by the western mountain range (foothills of Doi Suthep bordering the City of Chiang Mai), eastern mountain range (foothills bordering the district village of Doi Saket), and northern hills (beyond San Sai and Doi Saket with the Mae Kuang Dam). The hills and mountains can be seen from the resort at clear sight, nearly every day except on hazy days during hot season.

Baan Sammi, and the access roads to Chiang Mai and Doi Saket, are located in an area which is not prone to flood.

Small shops for daily life supply can be found in all villages around, the closest shop is 50 m distant, other shops are about 2 km distant). Local markets, open daily or on certain days of the week, can be found in Ban Pa Pong, Ban Bo Hin, Doi Saket, and in many other villages, at distances between 5 and 8 km.

There are small food-stalls and restaurants in many villages, mostly opened on certain hours every day. The next food stalls are about 2 km distant. Thai restaurants can be found in and between villages, most often located on country roads or higher ranking roads. Also, several restaurants with western food can be found in the district of Doi Saket, the nearest about 7 km distant.

In the district village, Doi Saket, there are several banks, a post office and a hospital.

"Booked for a week, but easily could have stayed a month. Sammi and Dieter were great hosts, and the space was amazing. With no AC, it gets a little hot in the middle of the day, but we were usually out and about at that time anyways. You will absolutely need a vehicle to get around, as it is quite far from the city centre. The property is exactly...

"Für mich die schönste Unetrkunft in Thailand. Mitten in der Natur, durchdachte und interessante Bungalows, abgeschirmt, absolut ruhig und entspannend. Bis nach Chinag Mai sind es allerdings kanpp 30 min mit dem Motorbike. Dafür kann man aber auch absolute Ruhe und Entspannung im außergewöhlichen Ambiente finden."

"I was a bit concerned that the house (moonlight pavillion) would not quite be as great as what I saw in the pictures, but upon arrival I was amazed at just how beautiful the space was and how much character it had. It was even better! The only thing that was disappointing was that I had not reserved it for longer! There is a community area for...
