Details of the Villa

Ground floor: It comprises a spacious sitting room with a fireplace and a stone traditional arch on the ceiling which separates the living room from the dining room and the kitchen. The sitting room incorporates, among others, one sofa, which can become a double bed, and a TV. The dinning room can accommodate up to 8 persons. The kitchen is fully equipped with all necessities including an electric cooker with 4 cooking places and an oven, an extractor, a refrigerator, a coffee machine, etc. At the first floor there are two bedrooms: one with a double bed and another with 2 single beds. Both bedrooms are fitted with spacious wardrobes. There is a bathroom with a shower, bath and cloth washing machine on the first floor. Both bedrooms have the access to the veranda with a magnificent view towards the surrounding mountains, the Cretan sea and the mirror surface of the lake Kournas. In the garden: jasmines, honeysuckles, rosemary and other local Cretan flowers and herbs create idyllic scenery for relaxation all year round. The famous Kournas lake and the very nice lake beach are located in 250 m from the house. The sea is located within a distance of 2,5 km. The nearest sea sandy beach is in 3 km. The location combines uniquely the tranquillity of Cretan countryside with the charm and the great historical interest as well as the intense night life of the Rethymno town. Kournas lake has a very developed infrastructure: taverns, cafes with fantastic view, shops, lease of canoe and catamarans. Georgioupolis town provides with restaurants, shops, cafes, bars, taverns. Service: The cleaning of the villa and the change of linen is performed twice a week and is included in the rental.
