Local taverns are from 1 minutes walk so you can have a break from driving and also walk to the beach opposite. We have 4 more identically furnished villas ranging from just 30 – 50 metres to the beach, 2 of the villas have a heated pool option – Additional charge at €30 per day. The friendly owners have succeeded in making this property a “home from home” with quality furnishings, including an imported German kitchen, ceiling fan in every room and superior double glazed tilt and turn windows and doors. The Wi-Fi is unlimited and the connection reliable, so larger parties can book with confidence. It has a large private swimming pool that is great for length swimming at 1.45m all over, and a separate baby/splash pool in a well kept large & mature lawned garden which is ideal for children to run around. (The baby pool has been an enormous success as is a lot warmer than the main pool, especially in low to mid season, so good for everyone especially young children.) There is a large grassed play area directly in front of the garden, shared by all our 5 villas, equipped with swings, slide and a working fountain. A great place for you to take your children to make friends with others staying here. The villa has a pool table & table tennis table. The villa is accessed from the coast road via a private drive with barrier, and the large balcony upstairs provides stunning sea views and wonderful sunsets over the sea. You also have views over the mature palm trees and orange groves to the side, backed by hills. There is a selection of tavernas within easy walking distance along the flat coast road, starting with the popular Liza’s Place 1 minutes walk, (children love the menagerie here) and Liza is happy to cook “off menu” food, just ask. Santa Barbara restaurant on the sandy beach is about 5 mins walk, and they offer sun loungers on the beach too. Flyagain tavern is popular with clients at 600m. The Argaka region Argaka is an unspoilt Cypriot village situated between the sea and the mountain slopes. It is home to many good restaurants. Argaka has a sandy beach with clear warm sea. Views of the sunset over the Akamas Peninsula are outstanding. The tavernas are welcoming and very good value and there are two small supermarkets. About 2 minutes drive from the villa lies the small town of Polis with its attractive main square where it is a pleasure to linger with a cool drink and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. The town offers many restaurants, bars and cafes as well as a bank, post office, pharmacy, hairdresser and many interesting shops. Just a few kilometres further west is the small town of Latchi with its attractive harbour and well known restaurants serving a wide choice of food including many varieties of freshly caught fish. There is a water sports centre and boat hire.. The Polis / Argaka area There are lots of activities in Polis and Latchi ranging from water sports, boat trips, fishing, go-karting, mini golf, nature walks, historical sites such as the Baths of Aphrodite, Bowling, Safari's, Sunbathing on the natural beaches, Cycle routes and much more. Within walking distance there are several local tavernas and an Irish bar offering live entertainment and reasonably priced meals. There is also a bakery and 3 mini markets in the village or travel 5 minutes by car to Polis for the main supermarket and a variety or good restaurants and banks. Latchi is about 15 minutes by car and worth a visit for a good selection of restaurants serving freshly caught fish in the harbour.
