This ancient complex includes an old stone country house and a building which was originally a medieval fort dating back to the eleventh century. The complex is located in a beautiful position in the Chianti hills, in a charming natural environment which is famous around the world for its beauty. This is the ideal location for a relaxing holiday and a good starting point for visiting Tuscany, especially the famous Chianti region, the cities of art Florence (45 km) and Siena (30 km) and the southern part of the region with the renowned towns of Cortona (40 km) and Arezzo (30 km), which have ancient origins dating back to Etruscan times. From this area you can also easily reach the nearby region Umbria and Lake Trasimeno. These two buildings belong from a very long time to the owner’s family and are part of a farm of 300 hectares. Over the years they have been restored with care and attention to details and turned into a charming holiday accommodation. The buildings are surrounded by a wide open space of about 20,000 m² where there are traces of ancient walls of medieval origin dating back to the 11th or 12th century, which are still protected by the authority of Belle Arti. The property is now equipped with all modern comforts, including an outdoor swimming pool equipped with parasols, a wrought iron gazebo, deck-chairs, a built-in barbecue, and large areas with garden furniture, ideal for a pleasant outdoor stay and outdoor dining. One of the houses is from the 17th century and has on the ground floor a large entrance hall with large living room, which is divided by arches into three rooms, access to the garden, a billiard room and a dining room with access to the outdoor area. The other building, originally a convent enclosed by medieval walls, offers a large living room with fireplace as well as an equipped kitchen where a party of 22 people can enjoy staying and eating together. Both houses have been carefully furnished with rustic furniture combined with antiques thus increasing the charm and special atmosphere of this house where you will spend an unforgettable holiday in relaxation and full privacy. In one of the two buildings it is still possible to use the old wood-burning oven which was used for making bread. Large private parking.
