Details of the Yurt

Both of our Yurts are surrounded by plenty of private space, secluded by trees yet with views over our wild flower meadow, paddocks and woodland, it is a great place to chill and relax.
Each Yurt has its own shower house and compost toilet. Nestled amongst the oaks, it is a unique indoor/outdoor shower experience. Light, airy and warmed by the sun, the individual shower rooms are spacious and comfortable.
The summer kitchen is again brand new this year, well appointed and where possible, we have used reclaimed materials, such as the terracotta floor tiles, oak shelves etc. Equipped with a large worktop area, sink, fridge, freezer, cooking utensils, pots, crockery, cutlery and glasses etc. There is a large cooker and microwave, large dinning table which seats up to 8 people. Games, cards, books and magazines are also supplied.
We try and grow all our own vegetables, fruit and herbs, so there is normally a supply of excess produce available. The kitchen is stocked with various herbs, spices, condiments and oils etc so all the basics are provided for you.
The shower room is fitted with a large shower cubicle, toilet and wash basin and with plenty of hot water.
You can wander around the 55 acres of land surrounding the Yurts, we have plenty of wildlife including deer, wild boar, red squirrels and a huge variety of wild birds, cuckoos in the spring, nightingales during the summer, hoopoes, golden oriels and numerous birds of prey such as Buzzards, Kestrels and Hen Harriers. At dusk you can listen to the Owls and watch the bats out for their evening dinner. At hay making time we might even ask you for help stacking bales with us, you will of course get lunch and a glass of wine or two as the fruits of your labour!
