A warm welcome awaits you in this sunny area of France with rolling farm fields of maize,rape & sunflowers.
CHARENTE MARITIME is famous for the many varieties of goats cheese produced,shaggy Poitou donkeys and an amazing variety of birdlife.
Nearby is COGNAC where you can tour the many distilleries,large and small and sample the cognac and the local aperetif Pineau.Also at Cognac is the meandering Charente river where river tours can be arranged.
LA ROCHELLE is 45mins drive and is where you can sample delicious seafood at outdoor cafes and wander the narrow streets.There are many good sandy beaches nearby.
FUTUROSCOPE-the park of the moving image at Poitiers is approx 1hr drive and makes a great day out.
We are in a small hamlet with village 2ks where there is a shop and bar/restaurant.Also a renaissance chateau.There are opportunities for fishing and we can arrange fishing licences.
The nearest market town is Aulnay,8ks,with its colourful Sunday market and pavement bars and restaurants.
The cottage sleeps 2.Upstairs are 2 single beds and shower/toilet room.The kitchen has electric hob & oven,fridge,dining facilities.Wood burning stove in sitting area.We can supply an extra bed for a child,also cot & high chair.Small self contained garden with BBQ,garden furniture.
