At Watergate Bay, a surfing beach, you will find a café/bar and Jamie Oliver’s ‘Fifteen Cornwall’ restaurant (booking recommended).

The famous Fistral surfing beach is only a short distance away and the National Trust’s Chapel Porth Beach is only a couple of miles away with a cafe providing the best flapjacks, croque monsieurs and ice cream you could wish for!

Many National Trust and private gardens are within easy reach - Glendurgan, Heligan, Trebah.

Day trips to St Ives (the Tate Gallery), Padstow (have fish and chips at Rick Steins), Falmouth (Maritime Museum, Castle), St Austell (Eden), Newquay (beach, Zoo and Sealife Centre, Truro (shopping, restaurants, cinema and museum), St Mawes (ferry trip, boat trips, castle) etc.
