Tala is a picturesque village on the outskirts of Paphos with cooling breezes and spectacular views of the Mediterranean. It is a traditional Cypriot village with old churches, coffee shops and tavernas with real Greek hospitality. The 12th Century Monastery of St Neophytos is a couple of minutes drive away. Other attractions include the beautiful harbour of Paphos with its medieval castle, Paphos Bird Park and Water Park , Coral Bay beach and St Georges Bay all within a 20 minute drive from the apartment. The Troodos mountains offer a cool respite in the summer months and skiing in the winter. Aphrodites Rock, the famous birthplace of Aphrodite, is approximately 30 minutes away where you can swim around the rock with the stunning backdrop of the mountains and the amphitheatre at Curium is a must see with its mosaics. The large towns of Nicosia (capital) and Limassol take about one hour to reach. You can also take the opportunity to visit the north of the island.
