The village of Pyla is special in the respect that it is the only settlement in Cyprus still inhabited by both its original Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot inhabitants. Although the village is quiet is has plenty to offer. Pyla is a 15 minute drive from the airport, a 10 minute drive to Larnaca city centre and a 4 minute drive from the sandy beaches. An option of a coastal route or motorway is available for all areas. Larnaca holds a major international airport and the island's second most important commercial port. It has a nice marina for yachts and is an important tourist resort. Larnaca International Airport is situated to the south of the city. The 'Phinikoudes' is Larnaca's main tourist attraction. This is a strip of cafes, bars, clubs and restaurants on the beach front. Larnaca is famous for its beautiful sea front.
