Guests who do not wish to cook can enjoy the food at various restaurants or eateries with fish delicacies. The waters of Altefähr are ideal for sailing and surfing and you can try these activities. Surfing and sailing schools are available in this town. There is also a climbing forest with offers for the entire family, which is located a few steps from the Sonnengarten Holiday Resort. This Sonnengarten Holiday Resort is reachable even without a car. The highlight of this trip is the ferry ride from the Stralsund Port (with honoured white fleet) to Altefähr. The holiday home is just about 400 metres from the pier. You can also travel from Stralsund to Altefähr in just a few minutes by train. There are bicycle rentals in town. You can take a cycling trip around Altefähr, as there are various well-marked cycling trails around the town. Rügen Round is a famous cycling path. A cottage village is under construction nearby in 2015 and 2016 and hence there might be construction activities in the neighbourhood. There will not be any construction activities during summer.
