The picturesque village of Beckington was bypassed some years ago from the main A36 which takes you to Bath. Sought after for its pretty former weavers' cottages, the village is very well placed to visit Bath, Stourhead, The Cotswolds, Bradford on Avon and Wells.
There are farm shops nearby, a 24 hour store and locally renowned deli/cafe and recently renovated pub serving good food at a reasonable price.
Within the village is a children's playground, church, shop and even a castle!
Pretty villages to visit include Bradford on Avon, Lacock, Castle Combe and the stunning gardens of Stourhead.
For families, Longleat, Brokers Wood, Bowood and Cheddar Caves, Wookey Hole and the local childrens areas at farm shops provide entertainment. There is an indoor heated swimming pool at Bradford on Avon (5 miles).
