L’Octaviere Bleue is a stone built farmhouse, situated in quiet countryside, 3km outside the pretty village of La Chapelle Achard in a small scattered hamlet of about 20 dwellings. The farmhouse is well furnished and decorated, with art work by the owner displayed throughout. It is attached to the French-speaking caretaker’s house and has its own extensive private gardens set in an orchard, with nice, relaxing views across fields and woods. There are many romantic walks near this self-catering summer holiday rental villa. The garden has its own terrace with garden furniture, leading to an area with a large free-standing barbeque, all set in an orchard. There is a boules area in the large side garden. At rear the garden has a terrace, with 6 chairs, a bench, 3 sunloungers, 2 large tables, large sun umbrella; leading to a built in BBQ, all set in an orchard,+NEW SWINGS. Slightly further away, at 5 miles is La Mothe-Achard,2 good restaurants, a pizza takeaway, three cafes, three bread shops, two large supermarkets,DIY, chemist, weekly market+ themed garden Les Sables d’Olonne, the nearby local seaside town, which is well-known for its beaches, with the Remblai promenade (all sorts of evening entertainments in the high season), and its working harbour, overlooked by a street of over 20 restaurants, most of which offer local fish delicacies. ** LE TOUR DE FRANCE starts JUNE 2011 at Les Herbier=45kms.

Lounge has 3 rugs, 2 double sofa beds, 2 rocking chairs, footstools, coffee and side tables. Entertainment - lots of games/chess/jigsaws/cards, book library. A French TV, DVD+Eng DVD Library. The HIFI has tape,CD+MP3 player/radio.
CLEANING INCLUDED. All linen (English pillows, sheets+duvets (+extra blankets if needed) + towels (hand and bath) are provided free, although you will need towels for beach use.
The Lounge has 2 double sofa beds which will sleep a further 4 PEOPLE, so the farmhouse can sleep 10 PEOPLE+ 1 CHILD (if very friendly).
Heating = free from AFTER Easter to BEFORE September. October to Easter =£40 per week. |

Our no smoking farmhouse is on one level+wooden ceilings. The kitchen, lounge, hall and toilet floor are tiled. Kitchen has a tiled wood burning stove and it is amply equipped, with storage in pine cupboards/shelving. Oven has a ceramic hob and a grill in the rotisserie oven. |

Each bedroom has curtains, roman blinds, and window shutters. Each is very well equipped with a mirror, hooks, wardrobe, a chest of drawers, open storage shelving, bedside tables with lamps, 2 chairs and 3 bedside rugs on the oak floors. BEDROOM 1 has a 160 cm wooden firm bed (L DBLE queen sized bed) with a handmade wooden wall-mounted headboard unit. BEDROOM 2 + 3 have 2 full sized single wooden firm beds in each room. Bedrooms 1 + 2 are south facing, overlook the rear garden + surrounding fields, bedroom 3 has the largest area with an extra clothes stand and is at the front of the house. A child's cot+ high chair available. |

To secure your booking, a deposit of 25% of the cost of your holiday is required.. The balance to be paid 8 weeks before the start of the holiday.
Security deposit (separate cheque )of £250 is RETURNABLE at the end of your stay, subject to deduction for contribution to repair of any damage, or the requirement for extra cleaning by the caretaker preparing for the following visitors. Arrival+Depart time is 17.00+ 09.00 -STRICTLY - Early arrivals + late departures will be fined, see small print on OWNERS SITE http://vendeehols.website.orange.co.uk Changeover and thorough cleaning needs 8 hrs.
Security deposit required at same time as balance, in case of damage to the property/contents.
If payment is not received by the due date, the reservation will be cancelled. A late cancellation will forfeit the full amount . Reservations made within 8 weeks of the start of the rental period require full payment at the time of booking. PAYPAL Payment can be arranged at + 4%.
Please be a considerate tenant+to take good care of the property+to leave it in a clean,tidy and undamaged condition at the end of your holiday.
2012=Cleaning fee is included. It covers only regular cleaning, everything disrespectful of the property and their owner such as un-emptied fridges, dirty dishes, dustbins bags and empty bottles all around, confetti etc, will be charged up to £250.
Your FINAL CLEAN can done by our caretaker for £50 if booked. Heating = £40 per week, free =after EASTER - before September.
