Details of the Apartment

The property consists of 2 bedrooms, bathroom, WC, and bidet, plus shower room with WC. There is a fully fitted and well equipped kitchen, as well as a luxuriously appointed lounge leading onto the balcony which overlooks the pool. The small private condominium consists of 5 apartments, and is situated in an established area only a 2 minute walk from a park with childrens area, bistro, bar, restaurants, (good low cost food and lively at the weekend), souvenir shop, supermarket (small but well stocked) 15 minute walk The Marina is a 20/30 minute walk away. The apartment has many personal touches as it it used on a regular basis by the owners, including resident guard seagulls, Tom, Dick and Harry, as well as the Mask, Billy the Fish, and Rocky the Portuguese Cockerel! Bedroom 1 has a double wrought iron bed and bedroom 2 has 2 wide single beds, Both bedrooms have walk-in wardrobes, loads of hanging space, large 3 draw chest of drawers, mirror, and combination safe. There is an ironing board and 2 irons in the twin bedroom cupboard. Shower room has shower, and toilet, mirror, towel rail, and shaver point. Bathroom has the foregoing plus vanity unit, scales and bath. We include soap dispensers for handwashing. Comprehensively equipped kitchen has electric oven, gas hob, combination grill/oven microwave, 4 slice toaster, catering style flat plate sandwich/panini toaster, compression orange juice squeezer, kettle, Filter coffee machine, cafetiere, and fridge freezer, plus knife set, and selection of pans. Washing machine, supplied with enough tablets for a full wash per week. We also supply cooler bags for the beach and shopping , with a selection of Ice blocks for food shopping. There are barbeque tools for the barbeque downstairs, or for use on the beach with a disposable barbeque. For your own safety disposable barbeques must NOT be used in the apartment The Hall, is supplied with a mini drawer unit containing brochures and useful information plus 2 pairs of binoculars, playing cards , beach bats, and games such as Connect 4, Solitaire, and chess. Tom, Dick, and Harry plus Bert stand guard. There is a Carbon Monoxide detector in the hall, the batteries are changed regularly, but may run down , please advise the Agent. Lounge is fitted with large faux suede L shaped sofa bed with 4' 0 sprung mattress bed, as well as a dining table, and 6 chairs, with area guides in the table drawer, side table with lamp, up-lighter and reading lamp, LCD Flat screen TV with HDMI input/Scart TV unit, Bluetooth Sound-bar, and a DVD player, plus 200 DVD's and CD's. In the centre of the room is a coffee table. There are adaptors for phone charging etc. Towels, hand towels and flannels are all included, and are changed twice a week. The linen is changed weekly but can be changed more often if required for a small extra charge. The apartment is fitted with air-conditioning (available for an optional extra charge) and is suitable for up to 6 adults. The shared gardens are laid to lawn around the building and pool, there are 2 lightweight mesh loungers supplied in the apartment, as well as 6 foam beach mats, wind break, lilos, fishing rod, etc. The balcony has a shaded drying area, and clothes line as well as a seating area with 4 chairs, table and umbrella. The pool is approximately 30' long, and is maintained by the condominium owner. There are also 2 additional folding chairs in the twin bedroom cupboard. The Area The apartment is surrounded by 3 golf courses;- Laguna, Old Course, and Pinhal, all within walking distance or with a 10 minute drive another 3;- Millenium, Vila Sol, and the Golf Academy which includes a driving range. The beach is a 20-30 minute walk, through a nature reserve, to Falesia beach, which is a quiet stretch of golden sand, with a cafe and restaurant, there are a considerable number of covered parking spaces. The town of Vilamoura offers a range of activities from golf to deep sea fishing, as well as some exclusive shopping, and huge range of very high standard restaurants, details of many of these are included in the apartment information The local airport is Faro, which is well served by budget and scheduled airlines from all over the UK. The airport is a 20 minute drive away, although there are the options of taxi, bus, or car hire at the airport. Car hire is not considered essential as the local services are so close, however one will be required to go on excursions, or alternatively by coach from the local tour company based in the adjacent complex. We have an arrangemet with a local car hire firm (Auto Jardim) who we have used for the last 11 years and have always found them to be extremely good. Cabo Vincente, the most westerly point of Portugal is 90 kilometres away by road. 300 kilometers by toll motorway to Lisbon. Spain is only 75 Kilometres away. The nearest towns are Quateria, and Albufeira, which both offer beaches, bars, and nightime entertainment if required. The Algarve is many things to different people from a bucket and spade beach holiday, to a fishing and watersports holiday based at Vilamoura Marina, with golf, walking, cycling, or visiting historical sites. There really is something to suit all tastes. The local nature reserve has a fantastic range of birdlife including several rare varieties.
