  • "If you are looking for a remote retreat to escape the chaos we all live in then i highly recommend this place."

Being a luxury glamping business owner myself i don't usually leave reviews but i do feel this place is great for peace and wellbeing. My only slight criticism is the signs could have been bigger to find the place. I also feel the couple running this farm deserve a special mention as they are genuine good hard working people that go out their way to ensure a comfortable stay and i enjoyed talking with them about the challenges they face being in such a out of the way location. My only regret is that i didn't get a chance to say goodbye and to thank them. Keep up the good work guys!! and get yourself online and independent!!!

  • "The hosts were amazing and very attentive."

The bests things were the Hot Tub, under floor heating and the amazing mountain views we woke up to every morning. All facilities were great. The local Victoria Inn Pub is well worth a visit, very cosy and friendly. Our visit to the Shepherd Hut was amazing, couldn't have asked for anything more!! xx

  • "We had the best week staying here, only 5 miles from the quaint village of Llanbedr, Gwynedd with easy access to magical walks, Nantcol Waterfalls, the idyllic Cwm Bychan lake surrounded by woodland and the beach with its uninterrupted stretches of sand is also on your doorstep."

Cwm Nantcol: Shepherds Huts are part of Maes Y Garnedd Farm and hosted by Gwyndaf & Eleri and their family who are all amazing. There are three holiday lets Rhindog, Moelfre and Llethr. We stayed in Rhindog, and a lot of love has been put into the interior, it feels very much like a home, you need bring nothing but yourselves, food/beverage, clothes, and toiletries as unlike most other self-catering holiday lets, EVERYTHING else if provided (see list below). The welcome tray and complimentary bottle of Merlot was very much appreciated, and I can honestly say our hut was better than some 5* hotels I have both worked and stayed in. The farm and huts are nestled amongst the picturesque Rhinogydd mountain range with stunning views and being the furthest in the Nantcol valley there is no through traffic to interrupt the peace, quiet and relaxation. We especially enjoyed the log fired hot tub which only took an hour to get quite hot and we used it every night. We will be back, as this area as so much to explore in all seasons, the only thing that could have made our holiday better, would have been if we could have stayed longer! Facilities included: • Welcome tray with complimentarily bottle of Merlot • Extra comfortable bed with views of the mountain • Free Wi-fi • Kettle, toaster, small oven • Fridge/Freezer • Kitchen roll, cloths & sponges • Washing up liquid and tea towels • Underfloor heating & wood burning stove • USB sockets x 2 • Heated towel rail • Walk-in shower • Outdoor seating and picnic table • Log fired hot tub (logs and kindling provided) • Barbeque • Firepit • Off-road parking

  • "Absolutely stunning location at the foot of the mountains with superb views from the hut."

The hut was done out very nicely with everything we needed for an enjoyable and comfortable stay - fridge freezer, fire pit with bbq, outside table and chairs, hot tub with mountain views and, of course, a coffee machine. Plenty of room inside the hut with ample storage space under the bed for suitcases etc. Comfortable bed and plenty of windows, all with shutters or blinds. Can’t wait to return to do some more exploring of the Rhinogydd mountains.
