  • "If you want a holiday as far from anywhere that it’s possible to be, this is the perfect place."

It’s a wonderfully fitted out barn conversion and very comfortable. Just make sure you don’t open the windows to the attic bedroom, or the midges will get in and bite you in the night. We had a valley of around 10 miles long to ourselves to explore, which was wonderful with an amazing array of small birds such as dippers, wheatears and meadow pipits, as well as red kites and buzzards overhead. It takes 40+minutes to drive there from the nearest village, on a potholed narrow road, so take a weeks’ worth of food with you. To get there you need to know that it’s actually called Polgown. • "The cottage was disgusting and clearly hadn't been cleaned properly for months."

We've compiled to Sykes and asked for a full refund but heard nothing yet. If necessary we WILL get a refund through the small claims court. It's just a shame we can't upload the photos on this review.

  • "We had a lovely relaxing holiday, in the most wonderful area."

......however the cleanliness of the cottage was unacceptable. The bath was dirty and the bedroom furnishings were all dusty, the stairs were dirty and the cottage needed a good vacuuming. There were flies flying around the cottage and lots of dead insects. The bathroom was the worst as the toilet was leaking and obviously had been for a while, there were flies everywhere and I couldn't even bring myself to have a shower as the smell was dreadful and the floor in the bathroom was in need of a good cleaning. I had to wash all the cutlery, crockery and glasses before use. The cottage was cleaner when we left than when we arrived. We would love to return...... just get these issues solved.

Thank you very much for your feedback, We are so sorry that you were unhappy with the standard of cleanliness at the property. We would have gladly addressed the issues for you during your stay if you had let us know. We very much look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Once again, please accept our apologies and thank you for your valuable feedback. Property Owner
