  • "Accommodation fantastic, everything we could have needed."

will recommend to anyone. However I would recommend that anyone booking with Sykes cottages books online. As It was the first time I used Sykes Cottages I thought I would ring and book with a member of staff, the person I spoke to was no help at all and suggested I find someone who could use a computer. I hung up and booked online in less than two minutes excellent online booking system.

  • "The property id lovey, very clean, comfortable and warm."

Private parking right outside the complex a bonus. The view across to the beaches is great and we could relax and watch the surfers from the patio area. Just a couple of things to mention the patio area is continuous with the neighbouring apartment which is very close. The residents smoked which was not so pleasant. Also the stairs would not be suitable to anyone with a mobility issue. But, as can be seen from the photos it is a lovely apartment. The owner contacted us on arrival and she is easily reached if there are any problems.

Really need this addressed nothing worse than drying yourself with wet towel . Clothes peg for the washing line. Not sure if washing machine did tumble dry ? Not clear where to put general waste Need to pop note in welcome file . Outside tap would be useful to wash off our legs, body boards before entering property . The directions need to be readdressed coming to the property. Ie turn right down Edwards Crescent 100 yards on right is property explain colour of house . Could even put what 3 words . Throughly enjoyed our stay will definitely recommend property . Bonus been able to walk to restaurants.

Many thanks for your comments which have been noted. FYI - The tumble drier does work and there is an indoor clothes airer positioned behind the stairs. Unfortunately the radiators only come on when the heating is on. Glad you enjoyed the location. Many thanks for choosing the apartment for a week. Kind regards, Stacey Property Owner

. We loved it, everything was thought of and the welcoming pack from Stacey was such a lovely touch too! Situated in the most beautiful location, the views were dreamy , sitting on the little terrace watching harbour life was just so relaxing. The rooms were equipped well and so stylish, with really good adequate storage . The bathrooms very luxurious and the bedrooms very comfy and cosy. My fave room has to be the open plan space, kitchen/diner/lounge, all gorgeous with big windows and door to take in the lush view. Amazing place where we hope to go back too. Dawn Kershaw

  • "Had a great week, weather helped, meeting all old friends from when we lived in Newquay."

The view from the property was spectacular, well worth the visit on its own. All you could require for you stay was included. The only fault we found was - lack of cushions for the outside chairs and lack of a shelf for shampoo and gel in the shower. Owner text with arrival details to ensure we found the appartment and a welcome pack was included. If we go back to Newquay this would be our first choice.

Hi Paul Thank you for this. I will make it clearer on my description that the terrace is shared. I’m afraid my neighbour allows dogs to stay in his apartment so it’s not anything I can control. Thank you for leaving my apartment so tidy. Stacey Property Owner

  • "Lovely apartment and views the owner is friendly."

But for us it was not the quiet peaceful holiday we hoped for the main bedroom is right by the main entrance door to apartments and heard people coming in and out as they were not quiet closing it even past 12ish probably when pubs or restaurants close etc . The lady upstairs in no 7 was constantly stomping around in and out of her bedrooms (above our sitting room )from about 7.30 am it was loud and annoying . And people in no 4 next to us used our outside space as a dog run. Other holidayers might have more considerate people when they go but just be aware you might not . We didn't it was a waste of our hard earned money £700+ . We definitely will NOT stay at the king Edward view again .

The property itself is fantastic with great views of the sea and the beaches. The apartment is really cosy and the extra touches left by the owner is a really nice touch. On arrival we found milk in the fridge and tea bags which was great because it saved us a trip to the shop to get our cuppa upon arrival, and we even got some scones and biscuits. The place was impeccably clean with enough towels and bedding for the whole week we stayed. The apartment is within walking distance of all amenities and a great place to use as a base to visit Cornwall. Overall. I give this place a 5 out of 5 star review and would certainly go back without hesitation. A Thoroughly enjoyable stay. Thank you

  • "Great place, great location."

Clean and tidy. There were bad smells from kitchen sink / dishwasher which were off putting - smell worse when in use. Similarly with shower drain Could do with some smaller tumbler glasses and a few more plates: 4 plates, bowls, etc was a little limiting. Otherwise, fantastic. Owner checked in with us and there was few niceties for us on arrival (biscuits, tea, a little Prosecco, etc) Also, cleaning products and dishwasher tablets left. Would recommend.

Hi Damian. Many thanks for your honest feedback. I'm so sorry that you had this experience. Both myself and my cleaners take great care and pride in ensuring that everything is perfect for all my guests. I have shared your feedback with Pentowan Management Company so they can investigate and fix any issues which are causing the drains to smell. In addition, more crockery will be provided at the next changeover. Dishwasher and washing machine tablets are usually left so apologies if this was not the case. With kind regards, Stacey FURTHER UPDATE I can confirm that the drainage systems at the apartment were all professional cleaned and inspected within days of hearing this feedback. This has rectified all the issues. More crockery has also been added to the apartment. I encourage all guests to contact me at the time of their stay if there is anything which isn't quite right. Many thanks Property Owner
