  • "We had a wonderful restorative week in this Lyme Regis flat."

Everything we needed had been thought of, and the communal space worked brilliantly for adults and kids. Everything was clean, tidy and well maintained. We were very grateful for the reserved parking and for the easy walk into town, beach and shops. A great place for a break with no shortage of things to do. Would happily book again.

  • "Greystones flat is perfect for us."

The property has everything we need. And a great view too! We have visited this property before and have booked again for next year.

We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. See you next year! The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "The Flat is somewhat of a disaster compared with the previous owners (Gollop)."

The floors have no carpets whatsoever, all there are shiny varnished floorboards everywhere, even the bedrooms. \the seats in the lounge are most uncomfortable particularly the two with 'backward leaning' Back Supports. The Electric Cooker is out of date and is 30 years old consequently it is difficult to set up. Everywhere has high steps; Front of property, back of property and from Kitchenette to Lounge area. I am reporting this latter fact to the Local Authority in that it it totally unsuitable for anyone over 70. It is an insult to anyone to be charged over £700 in mid September when these defaults exist.

We are sorry to hear that the property did not meet with your expectations. We do try to ensure the marketing descriptions and photos are representative. We clearly describe the steps on the approach to the property, and within the apartment, and the wood flooring is shown in the property photos. The cooker is a free standing design and is in good working order. We have passed on your comments regarding the seating in the living room to the owner. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "The curtains need a good wash and re hanging right on the poles."

The pillows need re newing as to soft. These not updated information pack of what to do in the area if you are new to the area. We had to wash all the kitchen item plates cup and glasses before we could use them. There is mold in the bathroom. All the trees need a good cut so you can see the view. Now bbq area. No washing line that you can use.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. The property has now had its annual deep clean and is in top condition but we apologise that you felt it wasn't during your stay. These points have been raised with the Housekeeping team. Property Owner

  • "The flat was clean but it had a strong smell of damp, no call from the people who owned the flat to ask if everything was okay and if we wanted to ask any questions."

If you want to be near the beach, shops and parking this flat is for you. If you can put up with noise from the flat above with the people above moving around ( which it’s their fault because the owner hasn’t put anything on the floor to stop the noise) Damp smells, dark, bedding like paper, The shower is good with plenty of hot water. The garden is not well kept just the grass is cut that’s it. Overall it was ok, very basic good for parking as it’s expensive to park in Lyme Regis. Lyme Regis is very nice there is a sandy beach you may have to get there early as it gets quite busy. Plenty of places to eat and if you want the supermarkets there is one close to the flat. Lyme Regis has a few steep hills especially near the the flat. Would I recommend the flat yes. If you don’t mind the things I have mentioned. ( very basic)

Thank you for leaving your comments, we are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay in Lyme and how great you found the parking. We apologise if there was any confusion but we do not contact our guests after they have arrived as we want you have a peaceful holiday. In the property, the welcome folder does contain our contact details should you wish to let us know if there is a problem. We will ensure the recommendations are up to date. We will also make sure that the housekeeper looks into the damp smell. However, since your stay, the owner has drastically improved the sound proofing and is confident that future guest will much more comfortable. We hope to welcome you back to the Lyme Bay area again. • "A lovely spacious, yet compact, flat."

Plenty of storage space and well equipped with most things you would need, as a family of four (could do with an additional large saucepan though!). Located close to everything Lyme Regis has to offer and has the bonus of on-site parking. We found the double bed too firm for our liking - had to use the spare duvet for extra padding. When the flat above was occupied, it sounded like a herd of elephants were stomping across the ceiling. This was particularly evident during the evening (not good for children trying to sleep). The door to the twin room could not be shut properly (unless it was forced shut - in which case it became a potential fire hazard - we discovered this on our first morning, when our two children (aged 11 & 13) couldn't get out of the room and couldn't wake us, despite knocking on the walls). However, despite a couple of negatives (which can mainly be resolved), we thought this was a fab flat.

  • "Greystones flat is a perfect place to stay in Lyme Regis."

The property has everything you need. You get a great view to start with and you are only a short walk from the sea. There is parking for two cars onsite. The kitchen is well equipped, both bedrooms are comfortable. The flat is very spacious and easily caters for four adults. We had stayed here before and have already booked for next year. Thanks for another great stay.
