It had everything we needed and more. Our little dog absolutely loved the amazing garden. The owner was only too happy to help with any information we required and the welcome hamper was something else!!
Along with a visit to Blists Hill and Trentham Gardens and shopping village, we also visited the local garden centre and Eccleshall and went to Canalside at Great Haywood as suggested. A fantastic stay and looking forward to a third visit later in the year.

"Perfect in every way."
The best cottage we have stayed in. Immaculately clean, a welcome hamper so beautifully presented and fresh flowers. Everything had been thought of and the owner made us feel very welcome on arrival. We will definitely be booking again

"Ellenhall Cottage was perfect!"
Everything we needed for our week away!
Wonderful views from the enclosed spacious garden - where our dog loved the freedom!
Big open kitchen / dining area and the living room with log fire layout was just great - just what was needed after long days walking!

"A fabulous cottage in a peaceful village."
The cottage is spacious and well equipped with lots of extras which make it a home away from home.

"Ellenhall Cottage was a lovely place to stay and Merylie a great host."
We really appreciated all the extra touches and thoughtfulness like Merylie popping to turn lights on in the cottage when we arrived late at night and a fantastic starter hamper. "Had a lovely time at the cottage, which was comfortable and homely with all the things you may need for a stay away."
We had a nice basket of goodies to welcome us and the cottage laid in a beautiful garden to back and front, with loads of parking. The time went to quickly but would definitely be happy to return one day.

"We have been staying in cottages for many years and Ellenhall Farm Cottage is one of the very best."
A lovely location and the cottage had everything we needed/wanted. We were met with the most amazing Welcome Basket of provisions which meant we didn't have to go straight out on arrival to buy supplies to see us through the first evening and the first morning! The dog-friendly garden is excellent, and the books provided are a really great selection. All this and a week of unbroken sunshine! Thank you.

"So impressive when we drove up the drive and saw the amazing looking cottage."
On entering the property, the wow factor continued.
Everywhere was spotless and the welcome pack was just fantastic. Had everything we needed to start our week off. (Even down to extra treats, bowls etc. for doggie)
Our little dog loved exploring in the large and very safe garden.
Loved the jacuzzi!
As weather wasn’t the best, it was lovely to light the log fire and cosy down in the evening after a busy day sightseeing.
The owner came over to welcome us and offer us any information we might need.
Couldn’t fault this property at all and can’t wait to return.

"Lovely house in a lovely spot."
Convenient for travelling about.
Clean comfortable house ( very slow broadband though. But adequate)
The best welcome pack of anywhere we've stayed.....and we've stayed in lots of cottages over the years!

We all loved seeing the sheep by the side of the cottage although they did manage to get into the orchard by breaking a fence - they had a lovely time!! "Wow this is a lovely property in beautiful surroundings and very peaceful and relaxing."
On arrival there was a welcome pack which was a nice touch and much appreciated after a 4 hour drive. The house itself is very clean throughout with wonderful views from every bedroom window. Plenty of things to see and do in this area and not far from Shropshire and Derbyshire. A week spent here was not long enough so would love to come back again and explore more of this beautiful area. Thank you for a wonderful holiday, hope to be back soon.

"What wonderful accommodation."
Spotlessly clean, spacious and with everything you would need for a relaxing few days away. The real bonus of having a secluded area for our dog to have some exercise. Lovely, thoughtful welcome pack provided by the owners. Loads to do and visit in the surrounding areas. We visited Stone, Stoke-on-Trent and the Wedgewood/Waterford factory. Two good meals at The Old Smithy and Sunday lunch at The Kings Arms Hotel. Fabulous time and we will hopefully return when the weather allows more outside activity. Highly recommended.

"Lovely cosy cottage."
Very comfortable and well equipped with everything you need. Nice garden which was dog friendly. Good location for visiting local area. Owner living opposite available if needed.
The photos on the website were good and the actual cottage is better than the photos indicate. Have been to many Sykes Cottages and this is one of the best. We had a lovely week away.

"We had a wonderful stay at Ellenhall Farm Cottage!"
The property was immaculately presented, with so many thoughtful details we didn't expect, including a fantastic welcome hamper. The beds were so comfortable, the shower and spa bath were super, the wood burner made the evenings cosy - we wanted for nothing. Our dog loved wandering round the orchard and we enjoyed the peaceful setting - a picturesque hamlet. We also enjoyed meeting our sheep neighbours! Really recommend booking a stay here. Thank you for making a much-needed break so relaxing.

"This is by far the best property we’ve stayed in for our dog."
We were so impressed at how much space there was. This property is all enclosed so can let the dog off the lead. We had a wonderful time. Loved sitting in the garden letting the dog and our little girl play. The views are amazing so relaxing and tranquil. The finer details with this property is just on another level. There was milk in the fridge, a little hamper of food such as eggs and cereals. There was a high chair for our daughter and also a carry cot so we didn’t need to bring ours. Everything we needed was right there, even board games which came in handy when it started to rain. The property is situated close to the nearest town which you could walk to but we drove. We visited the monkey forest as well which was about 15 minutes away, worth a visit. I honestly can’t fault it just wish we had booked for longer. We will definitely look at booking again in the near future. Loved everything about our holiday so thank you very much.

"We have just had the most wonderful long weekend at Ellenhall Farm Cottage."
As soon as we arrived we felt at home and were greeted by a welcome basket of goodies and essentials - a really lovely touch!
The cottage was warm and welcoming and spotlessly clean with everything you need for your holiday. We spent lots of time relaxing in the garden with our puppy and there were plenty of local walks and attractions nearby. I'm sure we'll be back soon!

"We had a wonderful time at the cottage."
It was so peaceful and relaxing. We had everything we needed in the cottage and the beds were super comfortable. It was just a short drive to the shops and pubs but we were happy staying in and enjoying the views.
