Converted in the 1920s, from farm buildings, this was the guest wing for Noddsdale House. It has been a holiday destination for many happy customers for over 30 years and is most attractive and unusual with a pitched wooden ceiling in the sitting room.

The self contained apartment has its own front door and steps and is on the first floor of Noddsdale House above the old Laundry and Music Room.

The hall is spacious and welcoming. (Room for a single luxury folding bed if required). The kitchen and dining area are off the hall and seats 4 people comfortably. It is very well appointed.

The bedroom sleeps 2 in either a King or 2 single beds and all bedlinen is provided. The bathroom is next door and has a bath, basin and wc. There are plenty of towels.

The sitting room has a double sofa bed as well as an additional sofa and comfy chairs. There is a flat screen freeview TV, Video, DVD, internet access,CD Player and radio and games, cards and a small library of books as well as dvds and cds.

Heating is by electricity and is included in the price. There is a shared laundry room under the East Wing with a washing machine, tumble drier and pulleys. There is also a washing line on the drying green for those who prefer to catch the Ayrshire breeze. There is room for bike storage in the laundry too. Recycling bins are also here. There are garden benches around the shared grounds for admiring the view, reading or just taking time out.

East Wing, Noddsdale House is located in Largs, Ayrshire

Largs is on the Firth of Clyde looking out to the islands of Great Cumbrae, Wee Cumbrae, Bute and Arran. Ferries from Largs go to Great Cumbrae every 15 minutes in the summer and it is a very popular destination for a cycle ride. Bicycles can be hired in Millport, the town on the island. There is a golf course with wonderful views and a sailing centre which offers tuition. Ferries for Bute are from Wemyss Bay. Mount Stuart is a large house and gardens, south of Rothesay, with tours available and well worth a visit.
The ferry to Arran is from Ardrossan and there is a distillery, and many other attractions to visit for a day out. Several golf courses too.
Glasgow is only an hour away by car or train and has many museums, theatres, concert halls and music venues as well as some great shopping. Ayr is an hour to the south and is on the way to Culzean Castle with its splendid gardens. There is much to do and see in the area but some people just come to switch off and relax.

Booking Terms & Cancellation Policy

Our contract will be in place when we confirm your booking by email or letter.

A provisional reservation will be held for a maximum of 5 days until your deposit is received and confirmed. A non refundable deposit of 50% of the total is due at the time of booking. The balance is due 6 weeks before your holiday begins. No reminders will be sent. Failure to pay the balance may result in the owner treating the apartment as available for re-booking. For a booking made within 6 weeks of your stay - the full amount is payable. Please make payment by Bank Transfer, Paypal or by cheque, made payable to Noddsdale Estate.

Cancellations should be advised as soon as possible and confirmed in writing. We recommend Holiday Cancellation Insurance such as www.jlmorris.co.uk as balance refunds can only be made if we are able to re-let the apartment. In the event of the owners having to cancel for any reason, a full refund will be given. The hirer will have no further claim against the owner.

We welcome children 10 years and over.

No pets or smoking allowed.

Arrival and Departure
Please arrive between 4 and 6pm, unless otherwise agreed and leave by 10am.

Numbers must not exceed those agreed at the time of booking and during their stay, must ensure that no disturbance is caused to other residents.

Please ensure that the apartment is secure when absent or sleeping. The owners reserve the right to enter the property at all reasonable times for the purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary or emergency repairs/maintenance. When possible notice will be given as the privacy of our guests is paramount.

Damages and Breakages
Please let us know about any damage or breakages. We do not take a surety deposit but trust that our guests will be fair in informing us of any damages/breakages and, where necessary, contribute towards the costs of repair/replacement.

The apartments are thoroughly cleaned between lets, but because time is so limited, we ask, as part of this booking agreement, that you leave your apartment as clean and tidy as possible. This is always greatly appreciated!
