Villa Meliha - Idyllic rural retreat surrounded by orange groves in Dalyan, Turkey

Details of the Villa

Villa Meliha is a beautiful spacious villa which can comfortably accomodate up to 10 guests. It is light and airy with masses of space inside and out for dining and sunbathing by the pool. There is a pagoda and shaded areas, car-port and depot for storing bikes. The villa is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay.
. Villa Meliha is situated at the end of country track in a lovely secluded location. It is surrounded by orange, lemon and pomegrante groves and cotton fields (parmuk talasi). Yet you are not too far (20 minute stroll) from the lovely riverside village of Dalyan with it's fabulous riverside restaurants and boats ferrying holiday makers to the turtle (iztuzu) beach, passing the ancient Lycian rock tombs en-route and the ancient city of Kaunos nestled into the cliff top. The region is famous for wild-life watching - a stork and king-fisher nesting area and the beach itself ( a 5km sand-spit) a famous conservation area where the loggerhead turtles come ashore and lay there eggs.
From the upstairs balcony there is a massive 180 panoraomic view and you can see the ancient rock-tombs in the distance. It is a perfect place for a sun-downer whilst you sit and watch the sky change colour. You may spot a stork on it's way to feed its young or swallows swooping down to drink from the pool. At night you will hear the frog chorus, the crickets a few farmyard sounds, the mosque calling local worshippers to prayer...... and nothing more
This holiday villa in Arikbasi is pet / dog friendly.
