To add to all this there is a wonderful large roof terrace (30 metres squared) with sea & old town views. The apartment sleeps 4/6 people. The apartment is modern, light, airy and comfortable. It really is home from home having a wide range of conveniences including satellite tv, dvd player, dishwasher, washing machine, air conditioning, cd player plus a barbecue on the roof terrace. Living Room : Large, spacious Living Dining Room (25 metres squared), lovely tiled floor, access to two patio doors which open out to a front balcony. Caminhos Da Santiago is located in Tavira, East Algarve

To us, Tavira can only be described as ‘Stratford in the Sun'. It is a beautiful & stunning Portuguese town that commands waterfront residence on the picturesque River Gilao. The Tavira riverside location is the heart of Tavira and holds a wonderful selection of shops & restaurants. It has been cleverly designed & considered so that the modern entwines in perfect balance with the old, so not detracting from Tavira's beauty.
There are several beaches local to Tavira. If you are not driving then Ilha de Tavira is your best bet. This is on an island half a kilometre from Tavira, reached by ferry for €1 (70p) return.
Tavira has a bus station, Tourist Information Office, wonderful fresh fish market, banks, post office, internet cafés and a plentiful choice of shops & restaurants. Air : Faro Airport is 20 minutes drive away. Faro airport has an abundance of car hire rental companies & the airport itself is within easy access to Faro train station, approximately €3 (£2.10) in a taxi.
