Details of the Apartment

No1 Komurluk Apartments is one of the largest of the nine apartments in the small complex, occupying two top floor levels of one half of the block. Its unique design offers two extra large bedrooms completely separated from each other - because they are on different floors - giving you and your party more room to space out during your holiday.

Our apartment's two large outdoor terraces and additional top floor balcony provide stunning panoramic views of the sea, the islands and Kalkan's harbour town. The apartment sleeps up to five, in two bedrooms. The nearest beach is at Kalkan's harbour (1km) and the fabulous Kaputas Cove is 10 mins by car and Patara Beach about 20 mins.
Having a south west facing aspect, the apartments enjoy the benefit of the afternoon and evening sun. Our apartment's two large terraces and additional top floor balcony provide stunning panoramic views of the sea, the islands and Kalkan's harbour town. Being on the top floors our apartment's outdoor spaces enjoy relative privacy. There is a balcony from the master bedroom from where you can watch the sunset, see Kalkan's lights come on in the evening and contemplate a visit to town, The good sized terrace-balcony from the living room/kitchen area is a great place to start the day with breakfast or relax.

The open plan kitchen/living area has ample seating on a couple of large 3 seater settees. The good sized terrace-balcony from the living room/kitchen area is a great place to start the day with breakfast or relax later in the day on the sun-beds. Adjoining the lounge/kitchen area and the second bedroom is a private outdoor courtyard terrace 'room' which is partially shaded and roofed with a pergola. There are patio doors to this terrace from the second bedroom. It can be used as a space to sunbathe or to enjoy a wonderful evening meal at the large dining table. In the living room we have a 32" TV with some satellite channels and there is a DVD and a wii console (please bring your own games).

The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering with plenty of cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery, etc. There is a gas oven and hob and a large fridge with freezer. We have a water dispenser that you can use with the large canisters of bottled water available in the local supermarkets. Kalkan's local shops are well-supplied with everything you need to do self-catering, although there are a huge number of restaurants if you don't feel ike cooking.

The master bedroom is on the top floor of the apartment and reached via stairs from the living room/kitchen area. It is a bright, airy and spacious room with an en-suite shower room, a sea facing balcony and the same sense of the closeness to the sea as benefits the whole apartment. Furnished with a king-sized bed, fitted wardrobes and dressing table/table chest of drawers there is ample space for the room's three seater sofa. The second bedroom, which is on the floor below, along with the lounge/kitchen area, is reached via the courtyard terrace. It too is a spacious room benefiting from an en-suite shower room, fitted wardrobes and views of the blue Mediterranean. This room has a double bed, single bed and dressing-table chest of drawers

Kalkan's nearest airport is Dalaman (airport code DLM), there are regular flights from airports throughout the UK during the season, which runs from April to October. The journey time is a comfortable four hours. Try budget airlines such as Easy Jet (, Jet2 ( and Thomas Cook ( Travel Supermarket is also a useful search engine for finding cheap flights. Transfers from Dalaman to Kalkan, which we can arrange for you in advance, take about 90 minutes (non stop). You are met at the airport and taken directly to the apartment. Costs in 2012 were £55 one way for 1 - 3 people in a car and £70 each way for 4 - 7 people in a minibus.
Car hire from the airport is also an option although perhaps not advisable if you arrive off a night flight and you have not made this journey before. You can have an enjoyable holiday in Kalkan without the need for a car.

Booking Terms & Cancellation Policy

* Bookings made for a two week duration or more will benefit from a 5% on the above prices
* A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total due is payable to secure a booking, followed by the balance eight weeks before departure (50% deposit due for non-UK residents).
* When the balance is due we also take a refundable security deposit of £200 to cover potential damages to the property.
* Please make payment in GBP by bank transfer (using internet banking is ideal) or cheque. Payment can be taken via debit or credit card (small charge applies).
