Balmoral Beach is an exclusive small beach community , part of the suburb of Mosman, on Hunter Bay just down the hill from the main road coming from the city, Military Road. Military Rd then becomes Spit Road which goes on to famous Manly which has both harbourside & ocean beaches, many restaurants, hotels & shops. There you can catch the Manly ferry to the city to enjoy the longer crossing of the harbour past The Heads, the entrance to Sydney Harbour.
You can hire boats, kayaks & sailboards at Balmoral Beach & also at the nearby Spit Marina which is a walk around the rocks at low tide from Balmoral. On the way you will pass over beautiful Chinamans beach, a lovely spot for a picnic.
