Details of the Villa

The guest wing is spacious and very airy with high ceilings and large windows. A covered terrace leads via the front door to the living room with a dining area and a generously sized kitchen area in one corner. Sliding glass doors lead to the sun terrace overlooking the garden. To one side is the garden bedroom with twin beds. Windows and doors open onto the garden, sun terrace and the covered entrance terrace. Also on the ground floor is the full sized family bathroom. A staircase leads up to the mezzanine floor where there is a very large bedroom with a double bed. There are windows overlooking the garden and an opening skylight. Throughout the wing there is plenty of stowage space for personal items. Gas central heating is installed and there is a powerful wood-burning stove, making the wing a really comfortable place to stay in winter. Outside, the garden is grassed and has lots of plants, shrubs and herbs. Mature trees give plenty of shade, and there is a barbecue and plenty of outdoor furniture. The pool is a few steps away in the main garden. It is 10m x 4m and 1m 70 deep. For security it has a domed plastic cover, which also keeps it clean and prolongs the swimming season from early May to late October.
We welcome reasonable pets - we have dogs and cats of our own. Usually we are in the main house and are very happy to help you make the most of your stay in the wing. We know the area well having owned Les Castellans for over 20 years.

Large (52 m2) open plan with high ceiling and and sliding doors to the garden and sun terrace. Sofa, armchair and chairs provide seating for 6. There is a dining table seating six. There is a further covered terrace with table and chairs for 4. The decor is modern with lots of paintings and prints on the walls. The floors throughout are tiled with rugs in places. The Godin wood-burning stove provides ample heat in winter.

The kitchen area is in a corner of the living room in the form of a 'U'. There are place settings for six and a complete 'batterie de cuisine'. There are lots of cupboards and shelves for storage.

The garden bedroom on the ground floor is 11m2.It has twin beds and windows on two walls looking out over the garden. Two doors lead out to the terraces on either side. Up stairs on the mezzanine level is the large master bedroom of 28 m2 with 2 windows and an opening skylight.
Both bedrooms have ample space for clothes and personal effects.

The family bathroom is on the ground floor and is tiled throughout. The full sized bath has a shower curtain. The wash basin, bidet and wc complete the equipment and the clothes washing machine is also installed here.

Les Castellans is located in Lorgues, Var

St Antonin is one of the smallest communes in the Var, and one of the newest - it was created in 1963. The countryside around is undulating, with forest on the high ground and vineyards and olive groves on the lower slopes and in the valleys, with streams running through them from the springs in the hills. There are some great views over the surrounding countryside and the area is ideal for walking, hiking and bicycling. There are basic facilities in the village, but nearby in Lorgues there is a wide range of shops banks petrol stations restaurants etc, such as you would expect to find in a busy market town. All around are the beautiful villages for which the Var is renowned, such as Cotignac, Aups and Tourtour. There is so much to do and see all the year round; tennis golf cricket horse-riding and canoeing take place near St Antonin. At St Maxime there is a water park voted the tops by our younger visitors. Booking Terms & Cancellation Policy

The normal changeover day is a Saturday, but we will always do our best to be flexible where possible.
Weeks falling between different charge periods will be charged pro-rata.
The minimum booking period is one week. The rental price includes bed-linen and towels, gas for cooking and the barbecue, electricity and water.
Central heating and firewood are charged at cost, and the telephone and internet connection by arrangement.
For bookings longer than one month special terms apply and all the above items are subject to 'at cost' charges by mutual agreement.
We welcome normal domestic pets within reason. We ask that you bring appropriate bedding and food bowls.
We require a 25% deposit of the full rental to secure the booking. The balance becomes payable when you arrive. We do not ask for a security deposit, as we rely on our guests to tell us if something gets damaged or broken, but we do strongly advise that they take out appropriate insurance in case of a major incident. For 2011 we will charge 30 Euros per stay to defray cleaning and laundry costs.
Payment can be made by BACS transfer, Euro cheque drawn on a French bank, or by Sterling cheque written on a UK bank.
Please let us know if you have any special requirements such as cots and high chairs. If you would like some basic shopping done for you, then please give us a list and we will be happy to do it for you.
