On top of the glorious weather, Mar Menor or “Little Sea” is a salty lagoon in the south-east of Murcia separated from the sea by a sand bar. This spectacular sight has become a popular attraction for tourists and holiday makers. Mar Menor is also the largest lagoon in Europe.
Stretching from Mar Menor around the La Manga Strip is Mazarrón which stretches along the Mediterranean coast. This region is renowned for its championship golf courses, including the longest golf course in Spain, Hacienda del Alamo, and the famous La Manga Club.
