Details of the Cottage

Serenity Views is nestled in the forest on a 4-acre property which allows for individual taste in recreation and retreat. The newly built 550 sq. ft. studio suite provides complete living accommodation. It has a fully equipped kitchen, wireless Internet and cable television and sleeps 4 persons. There is access to outdoor living, pathways, and lakeside recreation. Our guests have privacy and the sense of freedom to enjoy the area in their own personal way.

Also available for rent is a rustic Camping Cabin on the same property. Please inquire if interested.

The magnificent natural location provides an ideal setting for outdoor living whether you want to relax, meditate, paint, or just watch the changing moods and colors of the mountains and lake. A paradise for bird watchers and photographers, the area is rich in wildlife with osprey, eagles, a variety of waterfowl, woodpeckers and deer.

Serenity Views is located just 5 minutes from the Village of Nakusp with all amenities. From our property, take a beautiful 15 minute drive up a paved mountain highway to Nakusp Hot Springs or drive to Halycon Hot Springs, just 20 minutes away. Wherever you go, the scenery is magnificent and people are friendly.

For those who wish a tranquil experience, Serenity Views offers secluded and quiet locations to relax, meditate, and find renewal. Enjoy the pleasant walks on private forested land or lakeshore, the beautiful scenery, fantastic views and nature in all its glory.

The Studio Suite is a 500 sq. ft. facilitiy which includes a leather sofa-bed, a rocking chair, tables for playing games on, as well as a TV with cable and free wireless internet.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all dishes, pots and pans, linens, and cutlery. There is a kettle, a coffee maker, a toaster, as well as a full-size fridge with freezer, a 4 burner electric stove with oven, and an over-the-range microwave. There is also a BBQ on the private deck.

The comfortable queen size bed is located in the same room, as well as dressers and a closet for guests to use. All linens and extra pillows and blankets are supplied. The leather sofabed makes into a double size bed for 2 additional guests.

Serenity Views is located in Nakusp, Arrow Lakes

Nakusp is located in the West Kootenays, approximately 100 km. south of Revelstoke, British Columbia. From the Trans-Canada Highway (#1), turn south on Highway 23 and travel approx. 50 km. to a ferry crossing. After taking the free ferry across the Arrow Lakes, travel another 50 km. to the Village of Nakusp.

Nakusp is primarily known for its soothing natural Hot Springs - there are two developed Hot Springs facilities which are open year-round. The beautiful Arrow Lakes offers a whole world of outdoor recreation opportunities including swimming, boating, and fishing. Enjoy hiking, biking, skiing and horseback riding, or golfing at the local 9 hole golf course. In the Village of Nakusp there is a lakefront promenade with gorgeous gardens along the way. In July, there is a world-class music festival - the Nakusp Music Fest.

Also in the summer, there is a Farmer's Market every Saturday morning, as well as "Music in the Park" every Wednesday evening, a free family event.

Rental rates $715 - $765 per week

Booking Terms & Cancellation Policy

Rates are based on double occupancy and include all taxes. There is an extra $10.00 charge per night for each extra person. We are "pet friendly" but there is a charge of $10.00 per night for dogs.

If interested in renting the Camping Cabin, please inquire. Please note that the rates shown above reflect rental cost of the Studio Suite.

Deposit of $100.00 is required to hold the requested dates. Deposit is refundable if cancellation occurs more than 2 weeks prior to date, with a $25.00 administrative fee.

Payment is with cash, cheque, money order or e-mail transfer in Canadian funds.

Check-in time: 3:00 p.m. Check-out time: 11:00 a.m. (We are flexible with these times, however.)
