Lovely traditional Cypriot cottage in the old upper part of the village of Bellapais. Traditional Cypriot design with lots of arches on the shady rear balcony. High ceilings arches balconies and fantastic views of the mountains above and the Abbey and sea coast below. Lots of restaurants and bars in the village 5 minutes walk away. Village shop. Close to Lawrence Durrell's house (Bitter Lemons). Quiet corner of the upper village with no road traffic noise. Lovely walks on the mountain paths behind the cottage or through the villages of Ozankoy(TC) and Kazaphani(GC) Karakum (TC) Karakumi(GC) to the northern coast on Crusadfer roads. 10 minutes drive to Kyrenia and 3 miles to the sea.Bustling Wednesday produce market in Girne (Kyrenia). Buffavento crusader castle can be walked to from the rear of the cottage on mountain tracks in 2hours 45 minutes. Saint Hilarion and Kantara castles can be reached in half day drives. A shared cool pool and garden terrace at the rear and above the cottage has fine views of mountains, sea and Bellapais abbey. Kyrenia harbour, town and castle 5 miles. Beautiful sunsets and views of the Turkish mainland coast on clear days. Nicosia city 30 minutes drive. Famagusta and Salamis 90 minutes drive.
