"Alice Cottage is a beautiful Cotswold stone cottage which dates back to the 19th century and has been lovingly refurbished, whilst retaining its traditional character and is the perfect property for a couple or a small family who are seeking a relaxing break surrounded by the beautiful Cotswold countryside. The pretty garden terrace leads you up to the front door which opens into the quaint sunroom, overlooking the south-facing garden and perfect for enjoying the garden, whatever the weather! Step into the delightful open-plan living space, well-presented with a two-seater sofa to unwind on after a day of exploring the Cotswolds, as you get some evening entertainment courtesy of the HD TV, as the woodburning stove creates a gentle glow and a warming atmosphere in the room. Cook delicious meals in the well-equipped kitchen whilst listening to your favourite songs on the iPod docking station, before gathering with your guests at the fold-away dining table. Catch the last of the afternoon sun in the pretty courtyard south-facing garden, or make use of the charcoal barbecue in warmer months. When night falls, make your way up to the first-floor and tuck your child into the single bed before heading to the master room to listen to some calming music through the iPod docking station before laying your head for the night in the double bed; both rooms with ample storage and hanging space. Surrounded by wonderful countryside, there are many walks and cycle routes on BlockleyÔÇÖs doorstep including Heart of England Way long distance path which links the market towns of Chipping Campden and Moreton-in-Marsh, where you can visit Hidcote Manor Garden in Chipping Campden, which is a renowned attraction, that looks like a scene from Alice in Wonderland and is one of the UKÔÇÖs best displays of the Art and Craft Movement gardens and visit Chastleton House in Moreton-in-Marsh, which is a stunning Jacobean Grade I listed building that has remained unchanged for 400 years, with room guides will be able to show you around the property and grounds. At Alice Cottage, you are close to the bustling market town of Stow-on-the-Wold where you can take a walk around the market square, which is the heart of the community and offers boutique shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants, as well as the FarmersÔÇÖ Market which occurs every second Thursday of each month, featuring inviting local produce.
