The region has excellent wine cellars that you can visit. Wine, cheese and the small Swiss rolls (tortas) are the regional specialities. Sesimbra, the closest city, is famous for fish and shellfish restaurants. Praia da Foz is 2 km away, Sesimbra and Praia do Meco beaches are 5 -10 minutes away by car.
