It’s not just the location that is second to none, chalet is a jewel of a home with stylish interiors and high-end hospitality. Start off at the top of the chalet in the spectacular master bedroom with its wood-burning fireplace, large balcony and Balinese doors leading through to a luxurious en suite with jacuzzi bath and steam shower. The Asian-inspired décor continues in the inviting living room with plush sofas, a roaring fire and picture book windows looking out to the stunning Alpine scenery with doors leading to the upper garden and wrap-around balcony. A kitchen-diner is fit for feasts whilst five further bedrooms, most with en suite shower rooms, complete the chalet with flexible sleeping arrangements to suit up to twelve guests. The sauna and outdoor hot tub with some of the finest mountain views in Chamonix add to the luxury of this splendid abode. For catered guests, you will be well looked after by the wonderful host who will greet you with a glass of champagne on arrival. Breakfast is prepared daily, as are evening meals six times a week, using fine ingredients to create high-end cuisine accompanied by excellent wines. Home-baked cakes and warm drinks are served by the fire on winter afternoons on your return from days in the snow, and little extras such as bathrobes are provided in each room. Wander out to the nearest ski-lift, just 200m away, which will take you to a popular skiing area suitable for a variety of abilities or walk down the hill to experience the bustling charm of Chamonix itself with its restaurants, shops and apres-ski bars. Other fantastic areas in the Chamonix valley include family-friendly Les Houches, the extreme off-piste skiing of Vallée Blanche or you can even cross the border into Italy with Courmayeur only 20km away, via the Mont Blanc tunnel. Return to your chalet, soak in the hot tub with an aperitif and gaze up at the sensational Alpine vistas as you revel in such stunning and serene surroundings. chalet can be found on the edge of Chamonix, in a quiet and exclusive setting within walking distance to both a nearby ski-lift and the bustling town centre, just over an hour drive from Geneva Airport. The nearest ski lift is around 200m away which will take you up to one of Chamonix’s great skiing areas, ideal for a variety of abilities. High up there are two green pistes, eight blue as well as a snow garden for children and beginners at the bottom of the ski-lift. At an altitude of over 2500m, there are also more challenging black and red runs for experienced skiers. Another cable car connects you to a neighbouring ski-area for yet more possibilities for every level. You can also wander down the hill to the heart of Chamonix where you will find a bustling atmosphere with restaurants, shops, historic monuments and awe-inspiring views of the Mont Blanc massif. Experience the ‘apres-ski’ scene in some of the town’s vibrant bars or just enjoy a leisurely lunch in a restaurant specialising in Savoyard cuisine or international flavours. Extreme and experienced skiers who desire to be challenged can discover off-piste opportunities the other side of Chamonix across the Vallée Blanche at Aiguille du Midi or head to Les Houches and the world-famous Kandahar piste, home to world-cup skiing. Les Houches is also a great area for families with ice-skating and snow-parks as well as wonderful pistes through Alpine forests with yet more stunning scenery. If you feel like a day out in Italy then head through the Mont Blanc tunnel to Courmayeur to experience Italian hospitality alongside incredible views and more skiing opportunities (at an intermediate level). The old railway from Chamonix to Montenevers is another great trip out – admire France’s largest glacier and visit the ice caves in the winter months.
