Electric-controlled gates leading to front door and private parking area. Front door opens into hallway which leads to bedrooms and bathrooms. Main bedroom (en-suite) has king-size double bed, TV and DVD player and private terrace/balcony with views of country & sea. 2 twin bedrooms, each with 2 single beds, share 2nd bathroom. Staircase leads downstairs to:- Large dining and sitting room areas with French windows leading into colourful garden and swimming pool area (open 1st May to 30th September) with stunning views towards the valley and sea. Outside dining furniture and loungers provided. Sitting room contains seating for 10, flat-screen large plasma TV, cinema-sound, and DVD player/recorder. Dining area includes large dining table with seating for 12 and vestibule leading to fully-equipped kitchen and separate WC. Kitchen has door leading to small outside terrace/BBQ. House is fully centrally-heated but is cool in the summer months with stone wall and floors downstairs. Free WiFi; bed linen & towels provided. Perched on a hill in the village of Penedo, flanked by the Serra de Sintra, an historical World Heritage site. Suitable for families and, while private and peaceful, within easy reach of local amenities and beaches with surfing facilities. Car essential. Sea-water Olympic-sized swimming pool with child pool nearby (entrance payable). Golf courses within approx. 25 minutes' drive.
