Just 850 m away, within easy walking distance, you will find one of the best restaurants in the area (owned by the house owner), where you can taste the delicious local dishes and wines. Other destinations in the area: Cortona, the imposing Etruscan city with the nice main street, which invites you to stroll; Arezzo with its interesting old town, Piazza Grande and the frescoes of Piero della Francesca in the church of San Francesco (25 km), the medieval town Montepulciano (30 km) or the charming Renaissance town of Pienza with breathtaking views over the Orcia Valley (40 km); the Lago Trasimeno with its sandy beaches and small islands (20 km). Do not miss Siena with the its beautiful "Piazza del Campo", (to be reached in one hour by car - 80 km), as well as the Umbrian capital Perugia, also of Etruscan origin (55 km).
