Swallow is an upside down house with the living room / kitchen on the first floor.

It is set in a large walled garden with large (and nicely kept) lawn.

Entrance hall with step to Bedroom 1 with double bed and step to en-suite shower-room with shower, WC and wash-basin.
Bedroom 2 with twin beds.
Bedroom 3 with bunk-beds.
Bathroom with bath and shower attachment, WC and wash-basin.

On the first floor is a light and airy open plan, comfortably furnished living-room with kitchen and dining areas.

Kitchen facilities include: Electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine/drier.

Lounge facilities include: Satellite TV, DVD player and radio/CD player, books and board games

The rental fee includes:
*Electricity and central heating with thermostatically controlled radiators.
*Linen with duvets and towels provided. (please provide your own beach towels).
*Infant stair-gate. Cot and High-chair provided on request.

The kitchen dining space, being part of the open plan area means that chefs will never be lonely (or short of helpers). The kitchen is well equipped to allow you to prepare gourmet meals - or just to warm up the occasional takeaway (when not BBQ-ing in the garden. There are 8 place settings for meals - just in case a couple of friends drop in for lunch.

A stair-gate and high chair is available on request.

The family bathroom has a shower over bath,WC and wash-basin, while the en-suite to the double bedroom has a shower with WC and wash-basin.

Swallow Cottage is located in Woolacombe, Devon

Buttercombe Barton is a small country estate.

Over the front door of the Barton there is a date of 1081, although there certainly has been a farm on this site for many centuries - a Barton is a manor farm. Once it occupied over 700 acres from Willingcott in the west, where the present 18 hole golf course is situated to the Foxhunters Pub at the bottom of the old lane by the A361.

Today, Buttercombe has 17 acres that are a delight to walk in with woodland tracks where you may see badgers and red deer; and meadows where we have sheep and a friendly horse called Benson.

West Down Village is only a mile away with an excellent shop, cafe and pub. The nearest resorts and beaches are those of Woolacombe (superb for surfing and sandcastle building), Mortehoe and the Victorian splendour of Ilfracombe with its quaint harbour from which you can take day trips to Lundy Island. Away from the beaches North Devon offers superb walking and sites of interest from Exmoor to Clovelly.

Booking Terms & Cancellation Policy

A deposit of 30% is required to secure a booking with the balance payable 8 weeks prior to your arrival.

The price includes bed linen, towels all heating and lighting and a homemade sponge of scones to greet you upon arrival.

Payment can be made by debit card, credit card, bank transfer or cheque. Please note that there is a 2% surcharge payable on credit card transactions only.

We regret that smoking or dogs are not permitted.
