The independent gas kitchen is equipped with a fridge, microwave, oven, freezer, washing machine, dishes/cutlery, kitchen utensils, coffee maker and toaster. Sheets and towels have an additional cost, they are not included in the price of the reservation. Empuriabrava is one of the most sought after holiday destinations in Spain among not only boating people but everybody who loves water sports of any kind, or those who just like to enjoy a lively holiday atmosphere but NOT in a large resort full of hotels. It is a particularly attractive little town, with wide tree and flower lined avenues, consisting mainly of individual villas, with very few apartment blocks. A network of 25 km of navigable pleasure canals criss-crosses though the streets, enabling owners to moor their boats at the bottom of their gardens. The largest and most beautiful marina in Europe, in a privileged position in the sheltered Bay of Roses, is bordered by 2 km of splendid wide sandy beach, ideal for children with families, and either side are kilometers more of secluded beaches, appreciated by wind-surfers and beach lovers of all kinds. All kinds of water sports, boat hire, sky diving, tennis, horse-riding, pitch-and-putt, apart from the long wide sandy beaches, make Empuriabrava an excellent holiday destination. We have the privilege of having the largest sky-diving centre in Europe, and visitors can fulfil their dreams by jumping out of an airplane in a parachute accompanied by their tandem instructor. A wide variety of bars and restaurants, boutiques of all kinds, and several well-known discotheques, and even the circus when it’s in town, cater for the night life of all ages. As the whole area is very flat, many people get around by bicycle, which can be hired cheaply in the area. There are also many bicycle paths in the nature parks all around, which is a wonderful place to visit for nature lovers and bird lovers alike. THE CANAL SYSTEM Many houses are built on the banks of the canals or in private ports situated in the centre of Empuriabrava, with access to the main canal which goes directly to the main pleasure harbour of Empuriabrava and then out into the Mediterranean Sea. It is a quiet little cul-de-sac, very well situated only 500m to a small shopping area with shops, bars and restaurants, and about a mile from the beach and shopping centre of Empuriabrava. People with a boat license can hire boats of all sizes by the hour or by the day, to visit the beautiful coastline and the secluded bays and beaches. Without a boat license it is possible to hire small boats or RIBs of 4m which can be moored at the bottom of the patio/garden and used to visit the canals and lake.
