Details of the Villa

The stone balcony is of Baroque design giving the property a unique feel and it’s just a short stroll to the waterfront, in the heart of this energetic corner of Hvar island. Dating back to the 17th Century, the villa has recently been restored as a stunning five-bedroom home with breathtaking views, delightful terraced gardens and a large, private swimming pool. With 450 square metres of space over three floors, the interiors have been designed with elegance in mind, combining cultural beauty with contemporary and stylish features. The spacious living room offers comfort and warmth whilst glorious sea views can be enjoyed from the grand balcony. The beautiful kitchen will delight keen cooks or a private chef can be arranged to prepare a local feast to be served in the refined dining area. On summer evenings, you’ll no doubt be dining al-fresco surrounded by the Mediterranean fragrances of lavender and rosemary or sipping plavac, the local wine, in the outdoor lounge. The indoor swimming pool has glass windows that can be opened up during the summer months, allowing guests to enjoy the pool all year round. Each of the luxuriously appointed bedrooms has Wi-Fi, LCD televisions, and sumptuous furnishings plus gorgeous en-suite bathrooms. They are individual in size and character and maintain a sense of history despite their contemporary appearance. On the lower floor, you’ll find wellness facilities such as a sauna, fitness room, and Jacuzzi; the villa manager can arrange any service such as a personal masseur in your holiday home. The island of Hvar is yours to discover; visit beaches backed by thick pine forests nearby, taste wine in local vineyards, kayak as the sun sets, or cycle across the countryside. The interior of the island remains relatively unvisited despite its beautiful landscapes and idyllic villages. With its grand comfort and fascinating sense of history, the villa is a very special place in a prime location on a much-loved island. The villa is in heart of the old part of Hvar Town, just steps away from the Riva Esplanade and harbour, where impressive boats sail by. The villa itself, dating back to 1612, is protected as a historic monument and has an interesting history of owners over the last four hundred years. There are restaurants, bars, and shops within a short walk, and head to the summer markets to pick up some delicious local products to cook up a feast. The Dalmatian island of Hvar has recently gained a reputation as one of Croatia’s trendiest destinations with Hvar Town becoming a celebrity hot-spot. Visitors flock to the town in the summer to enjoy the beaches by day and party into the night. St Stephen’s Square is a great place to grab a coffee before you take in the beautiful sights such as the baroque cathedral, 15th Century monastery, and the medieval castle well above the town. Hvar Town has some pebble beaches in the town such as the one by Hotel Amfora Grand. Within a short drive or boat trip, you can discover some stunning stretches of coast backed by pine forests with crystal clear waters such as Milna, Dubovica, and Pišcena, all within 10km. You can also take a boat ride across to the beautiful Pakleni Islands, especially loved by naturists. The island of Hvar is yours to discover, whether it is wine-tasting in local vineyards, kayaking at sunset along the coast, or cycling across the countryside. The interior of the island remains relatively unvisited despite its beautiful landscapes of lavender fields, vineyards, olive and fig trees. Here you’ll find typical Dalmatian villages with narrow paved streets, wooden shutters, and pretty stone squares, some with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Be sure to visit Humac, a sixteenth-century village without electricity set upon a hilltop on the remote and beautiful south coast.
