Peaceful stony house, finely restored, surrounded by a fenced wine yard, in a small medieval village on the route of the Via Francigena and along the Magra River. Set in the chestnut forests of the Appennino Tosco-Emiliano Mountains on 560 m of altitude. At 15 min. from Pontremoli, small lively city with all commodities (restaurants, shops, banks, pharmacies, sport facilities) and with an important cultural and historical heritage. Indoor: 4 rooms for a total of 60m2, 1 sleeping room, 1 toilet with shower, spacious living room of 25m2 with large comfortable sofa and dining table, independent kitchen. The restoration work of the house has been carried out following traditional construction techniques and using eco-friendly local materials. The original structure of the house was meticulously preserved. Outdoor: fenced wine yard of 1000m2, the aia, with a flagstone pavement, a well, large terrace with a dining table and panoramic view, facing southwards, the portico with stone arches and imposing stone pillars with a barbecue and garden furniture, the fresh water of the river at a short distance.

The village of Groppodalosio, where la Bedina is, is ca 520m above see level and it is on the Via Francigena, the pilgrimage way which in the medieval times leaded from Canterbury to Roma. The village is famous for its medieval bridge on the Magra River. The surroundings offer either peaceful easy walks along the natural tracks connecting Groppodalosio with the other villages, or hiking excursion for hiking lovers. This is the most northern part of Tuscany, named Lunigiana outlined by the Apennine, the Apuan Alps and the Tyrrhenian Sea. La Bedina is perfect for a relaxing holiday in this special area of Tuscany, or for visiting the classic touristic cities of Pisa, Lucca, Siena e Firenze. Also, some of the most famous costal area of Italy like Versilia and Cinque Terre are easy to reach.

Cost excludes: heating, final cleaning (compulsory - 10€ per person, min. 30€), towels and bed sheets which can be rented for 10€ per person and per change
Caution deposit: 200€ to be paid at your arrival.
