Set down a country lane on the edge of the village of Escales, there is an excellent restaurant just 500 metres away and for those travelling by air, Carcassonne airport is nearby. Reached by a tree-lined drive the house is well-equipped and prettily furnished in cool restful colours, and enjoys a sheltered private swimming pool, sunny terraces and large grounds. Sandy Mediterranean beaches are less than an hour away, the swimming lake at Jouarres is 10km and even closer is the famous Canal du Midi, just 5km away. The cleaning charges covers the expenses for a maid, who is coming each day for two hours to clean, make the beds, maintain the pool and do the laundry.
