The villa is in a quiet spot surrounded by greenery and is only a 50-metre walk to a market, local restaurants and the local Dolmus (bus service). It's also only 2km to the centre of Ovacik with more amenities and 4km to the nearest sandy beach with clear and calm waters that are perfect for swimming. If you're looking for peace and serenity, Ovacik is an ideal choice. You'll find some of the best beaches on the Turquoise Coast along this stretch, boasting soft sands and warm waters, creating the perfect conditions for couples, friends and families who want to enjoy some tranquil time together. There are also more vibrant and livelier resorts in the nearby area, including Hisaronu. You can catch the Dolmus to Hisaronu, Olu Deniz or to Fethiye, where you can visit the museum and see ancient rock tombs including the 4th-century B.C. Tomb of Amyntas. There's also a fresh fish market in Fethiye and other markets that sell everything from homemade rugs to produce. You can sample the local delicacy – delicious gozleme (thin dough crepes) – or visit a Turkish Bath for a relaxing afternoon massage or scrub. For nature lovers and walkers, the Lycian Way, a series of paths is a popular choice. You can join the route at specific points, and it takes you to cultural sites like Kayakoy Ghost Town, an abandoned Greek village, and remote beaches like Cold Water Bay. The paths also go to the monastery ruins of Afkule, which are dramatically perched on cliff ledges above the Aegean Sea. For fun family-friendly day trips, the bus also stops at famous Oludeniz Beach, or you could even reach it via boat. The turquoise lagoon at Oludeniz has prime swimming and snorkelling waters, and plenty of opportunities to take part in water sports.
