Dalyan is famous for the Caretta-Caretta (Turtle) and being a conservation area it is protected. You can also visit the Turtle Sanctuary located close to Iztuzu Beach. Iztuzu is also where the turtles come onto the beach at night to lay their eggs. There is a public boat at the harbour that will take you to Iztuzu Beach. It is an interesting ride; you will pass by the ancient tombs and proceed to this lovely clean beach with clear waters.
