If you are a very large group taking a ski holiday you may want to consider booking both chalets. Chalet Voir boasts six gorgeous bedrooms, five very special ones for adults with ensuite bathrooms and one even more special one for children with three beds, a gorgeous play area, hanging chairs and unique styling. In total, the chalet sleeps up to thirteen guests, exactly the same as Chalet Vintage. Sitting right next to the nursery slope of Tignes Les Boisses 1800, Chalet Voir enjoys the added benefit of being ski in – ski out. You have an excellent chance of being first in line to hit the slopes in the mornings and making the first tracks in the snow. it is also very easy to drop children at ski school. The chalet is very roomy with excellent entertaining spaces. It comes with a fabulous open plan living space, a wellness spa with a sauna, steam room and a swimming pool, a gorgeous terrace and spectacular, breathtaking views of Mont Blanc. Chalet Voir's quirky interior design is very appealing with bespoke vintage ski equipment that has been repurposed into original and stylish furniture. With plenty of wooden clad walls and ceilings and much Savoyard charm, the chalet is a total delight. Sitting within the rugged and dramatic mountains, Chalet Voir is the perfect cosy spot to return to after a day on the slopes. Tignes Les Boisses 1800 is a tranquil, pretty village set back from the main road and situated on the mountainside. It is sometimes known as Tignes 1800 and you will reach it as soon as you cross the spectacular Tignes dam. It is a popular ski resort that links up with the whole L'Espace Killy ski area. Although lower than some of the other Tignes resorts, it enjoys great access to the slopes and a few short lifts take you to the hub of the Tignes skiing. The gondola takes you to the L'Aiguille Percee side of the Tignes mountain and from there, you can connect to the whole Tignes and Val'Isere L'Espace Killy ski area. L'Espace Killy boasts a sensational, high altitude with the Grande Motte glacier as a backdrop. With record snowfalls, the area is a pretty safe bet for skiers. Tignes boasts 97 lifts including two high speed funiculars, one which transports you from Tignes Val Claret to the panoramic restaurant on the Grand Motte Glacier. Aside from skiing and snowboarding, visitors to Tignes enjoy an endless list of activites including ice diving, dog sledding, hang gliding, skidoo riding, ice climbing, parascending, ski-joring where you are pulled along by horses, skating, snowshoeing, indoor tennis and heliskiing. Chalet Voir's open plan living space is simply glorious. With one lounge area enjoying a contemporary hanging log burning fire, vintage ski chairs that have been repurposed as sofas and a large television and another area with modern sofas and a coffee table, there is plenty of space for the whole group to relax. Throughout the chalet you will find snowboards used a shelves, safety ropes and brackets hanging from the stairs and fabulous artworks. The dining space boasts a beautiful sociable dining table and trendy chairs. There are also plenty of stools around the kitchen island and alfresco dining on the terrace. The kitchen is not only beautiful, it offers an excellent range of appliances that will delight the chefs in your group. You can head out to the terrace to enjoy the sunshine and probably some of the best views that any ski chalet can offer. The snowy peak of Mont Blanc is a magnificent backdrop for your holiday. Chalet Voir boasts five gorgeous adult bedroom suites with kingsize or twin beds beautifully dressed in crisp cottons and very smart, immaculate ensuite bathrooms. Skiers have full access to the L'Espace Killy slopes and mountains and can quickly be in the main Tignes resort. In the summertime, a short bus journey or drive takes you to Tignes lake or Tignes Val Claret. From there, you can whizz up the Grande Motte for some summer skiing on the glacier or you can enjoy hiking or mountain biking. Tignes itself is a fantastic ski resort that sits at a very high altitude. It is famous for its record snowfalls and is linked brilliantly with Val d'Isere as part of L'Espace Killy. It is one of the best European destinations for skiers and snowboarders to carve up the slopes. In Tignes, Val Claret sits at 2100 metres high at the foot of the Grande Motte funicular. Le Lac and Le Lavachet enjoy more of a cosy village feel and all three areas are linked by a free resort shuttle bus. The villages enjoy excellent shops, ski hire options, bars and restaurants. In total L'Espace Killy enjoys over 300km of pistes, 150 shops, 115 bars and numerous ski schools making it one of Europe's premier ski resorts. According to ‘The Good Ski and Snowboarding Guide', Tignes and Val d'Isere together are one of the only two ski areas in France listed as ‘snow-sure resorts'. Tignes is excellent for all levels of skier and offers five free lifts for beginners. L'Espace Killy is actually open eleven months of the year, thanks to the La Grande Motte Glacier. It backs onto the peaks of the Italian border too. The funicular railway that takes skiers to the panoramic platform at 3030m takes just seven minutes. It is worth the ride just for the view! The Perce-Neige funicular took four years to construct and transports three thousand people per hour travelling at twelve metres per second! The restaurant at the top is incredibly popular. There, you can take a cable car to a height of 3456m and take a thrilling ski down to Tignes Les Brevieres, have the services of a mountain guide to take you to the summit of the Grande Motte or just marvel at the glorious panorama of the surrounding mountains.
