Le Palmier is a spacious 4 bedroom detached farmhouse with the use of the 12 x 6 metre HEATED & FENCED swimming pool with toddler pool slide. Specifically designed and built with children's enjoyment in mind, it has a safety fence & lockable entrance gates.

Le Palmier is just a 2 minute stroll to a lively village offering cafes/bars & restaurants and only an 10 minute drive to wonderful 'Blue Flag' sandy beaches - ideal for the kids. In the large sitting room you'll find a home cinema TV with huge screen and UK TV. Plus internet access, an iPod docking station & a Wii console with interactive family games to enjoy on the big screen!

We specifically cater for families with children - We have an extensive library of books, lots of children's board games and toys from dressing up clothes to train sets, building blocks, dolls house & a huge library of classic children's videos.

For families travelling with young babies, we also supply within the price - a steriliser, bottle warmer, food blender, a travel cot, (& 100% cotton bed linen), black-out blinds for all children's bedrooms, changing mat, baby bath, high chair, push chair & children's crockery & cutlery.

Only approximately, 1 1/2 hours from La Rochelle & Nantes & approx 3 1/2 hour drive from St Malo, Le Palmier makes for the perfect getaway for familieis wanting a quick, easy trip to sandy beaches and sunshine.

Or simply just relax with a glass of wine and a good book (a huge library of excellent English books supplied including fiction, romance novels, biography & thrillers!), If you prefer, plug in your iPod and listen to your favourite artist whilst enjoying some easy reading laying in the sun. The large kitchen is very well-equipped including a large 5 burner range cooker (great for when cooking for large numbers), a large farmhouse table, Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, 2 x fridge/freezers and ironing facilities.

Those little extras- You will also find kitchen essentials like washing-up liquid, dish-cloths, bin bags, kitchen foil and cling-film, always appreciated and a few less items to bring!

We have also catered for the little ones - with child-friendly crockery & cutlery, themed place mats, a baby-bottle warmer, hand food blender, a microwavable bottle steriliser, a high chair and a pushchair (all included in the price).

Le Palmier has 4 bedrooms - 2 masters, 1 triple bedroom & 1 bunk room - The vast master bedroom (35m2) has a 4 poster wrought-iron king size bed with a beautiful en-suite Jacuzzi bathroom. The second master also has a 4 poster wooden king-size bed with a door leading out to the gardens and pool area. All double beds have luxurious mattress toppers for maximum comfort. The large triple bedroom has three single beds and is able to convert to a good size double if required for more than 4 adults sharing. The bunk bedroom has an en suite shower room, with hand basin. A family bathroom with a separate shower & WC.

Freshly pressed 100% cotton bed linen as well as hand/bath towels is supplied and beds are made up ready for your arrival for each guest on the booking form. In addition, you can hire large 100% cotton towels for the beach/pool (saves that bit of extra room in the case!) We also offer daily maid service (at a supplement) so your beds can be ready for you to slip into after a hard day at the beach or round the pool!

Le Palmier - Large Farmhouse is located in La Tranche sur Mer, Vendee

Le Palmier is only a 2 minute stroll from the centre of Angles, which has a large street market on both Wednesday and Sunday mornings in the summer months - an excellent opportunity to sample much of the locally produced food, including cheese, meat, fish and wine.

During July and August, Angles organises special events in the square including fun days, evening entertainers, jazz and blues nights, firework displays and night markets. You can sit with the locals and enjoy 'moules & frites' listening to a local band play watching the kids dance to their hearts content.

Located so close to the village, you can either take a leisurely walk down in the morning to pick up your fresh baguette and croissants, or stroll down in the evenings to a choice of great restaurants.

The village has its own Office de Tourisme, as well as a post office, banks, a hairdresser, a beauty salon, a pharmacy, five cafés/bars & restaurants, supermarkets, butchers, a fishmonger & a fruit & vegetable shop.

Booking Terms & Cancellation Policy

Prices may be subject to change at the owner's discretion and are based on up to 4 adults and 5 children sharing the property.

Sunday to Sunday changeovers

50% of the total booking fee plus a security deposit of 200euros per week is taken at the time of booking with the remaining balance due 16 weeks prior to arrival. For reservations made within 16 weeks of the arrival date the full balance is due at the time of booking.

Prices are advertised in GBP, however, payments are taken in Euros.

Credit/Debit Card payments are accepted, however a 2% surcharge applies with this method of payment. Alternatively payments can be made by international bank transfer.

100% cotton bed linen as well as bath and hand towels are supplied and beds are made up ready for your arrival for each guest named on the booking form. We also offer large 100% cotton beach towels for hire (saves that bit of extra room in the car!)

Pool heating is included within the price in peak season, all other seasons a charge of £120 per week is chargeable and must be paid prior to arrival.

A standard end of stay cleaning charge is due of £49.00 prior to arrival.

Winter lets are welcome from Mid October through to Mid March each year at a priced from £800 per month and are based on one family sharing. Bedding, electric, gas, water, personal taxes, sky packages or any fuel is not included within the price and is the responsibility of the renter.
