Top Essentials For Surviving Music Festivals This Summer

Baby Wipes
What may be the most basic of essentials, any experienced festival goer will tell you baby wipe are 110% a must. The luxury of showers while on a three day camping adventure is none existent, although available at many festival sites the endless queues and several hour waits are just not worth it. Baby wipe are a great way to freshen up during a festival so if it’s your first time, take it from us you will consider your baby wipes as a luxury.

Waterless Toothbrushes
Bringing your own toothbrush and toothpaste to a festival is fine and most people do it but if you want to make thing to make things even easier then why not invest in waterless and disposable toothbrushes? They’re quick, easy and perfect for festival life plus they are super cheap which will save you not only some money but precious getting ready time during the mornings.

Portable Phone Charger
Nowadays, especially the younger generation for some reason cannot live without mobile devices and everything that comes with in including social media apps, camera roll and much more. As you know smart phone never last the day when you’re on them constantly so bringing a portable charger along may not be such a bad idea. Many festivals do offer charging points on site but this can work out a bit costly, keeping your phone hydrated means you can capture your entire festival experience.

Go Girl She-Wee
Speaking from a female perspective when it comes to festivals, male festival goers certainly have an easier life when it comes to toilet usage. Being able to use a urinal is a luxury I wish I had instead of waiting at long queues for substandard toilet facilities. When I first came across “She-Wee’s” I thought what a brilliant idea. With some care taken to operate the device correctly, the She- Wee allows female revellers the ability to urinate in a standing up position at a urinal, saving huge amount of time queuing unnecessarily.

Pint/Drink Holder
Yet another little modern device I came across was this brilliant drinks holder. Not only is it easy to use but it lends a helping hand when you want to carry more than two drinks and at such events like festival this can be a luxury, rather going to and from the bar all day. When not in use the drink holder in foldable and compact making it easy to store in your bag or rucksack. Very inexpensive from website like Amazon and Ebay I would suggest making this a definite investment for your next festival.

Cheap Mobile Phone
For many of us, our smart phones are not only our pride of joy but a lifeline for communication and taking pictures. At a festival it is not uncommon to loose friends and group members from time to time but when it comes to contacting them, devices like our modern iPhones and android phones either have no signal or have run out of battery. The solution, £10 or cheap mobile phones, although ancient they actually work better, holding better signal for calling one another and better battery life– often lasting long weekends with little loss of battery. A purchase you won’t regret.

iKeep
When planning and preparing for a festival there are many angles you need to consider, i.e. safety, security, practicality and etc… and there are hundreds of gadgets on offer to make a life a little easier. This iKeep device is a pretty simple and clever device which helps keep your mobile on you at all time. It works by attaching to your mobile device and then clipping onto an item of clothing or your bag.

Solar Power Tent
A personal favourite on our festival essentials list is the solar power tent by “Bang Bang” with a built in solar bank you can plug in and charge anything from your mobile phone, mp3 speakers or even laptop. This range of tents has become a popular choice this year and recognised by many leading brands including the Discovery Channel, Cosmopolitan Magazine and Good Housekeeping.

Trolley Cart
Larger well-known festivals such as Glastonbury, Isle of Wight and V festival are all set over a few days. Like most camping related festivals both in the UK and abroad the campsite is not necessarily near all the action. In fact it could be 30 minute plus away, therefore towing your luggage and essentials to and from the car is hardly ideal. Investing in something like a cart or trolley could be extremely beneficial, particularly for heavy items.

Tent Finder
Like previously stated festival camping sites and areas are usually a slight distance away from the all the festival action, so finding your tent is not the easiest of tasks, more so during the night-time and add a full day of drinking beers in the sun it’s a task that seems impossible. Much like finding a needle in a haystack this quirky “Tent Finder” gadget might just be your saviour; working when in close range the finder will activate making it easier to locate your tent.
