Details of the Cottage

Location: This private farm, also known as Es Llogaret, is located just 10 minutes drive from the pretty town of Alaior, where visitors can find hand made crafts shops and visit the factory where the famous Mahon cheese is made. Beaches on both the south and north coast are less than 15 minutes drive away, as is the town of Mahón. Vehicle is necessary. Exterior: Although it dates from the 19th century the farmhouse was fully renovated, keeping the original architecture and the very typical Menorcan design. The exterior area is very cosy with views of the prehistoric monument of Torre d'en Gaumés. There is a stone barbeque, table and chairs, and a pergola creating an ideal spot for outdoor dining. For the children there is a play area, a small basketball court and a shallow children’s pool. The farmhouse also has its own 1500m long walking route around the grounds. Interior: The furnishings are mostly antique and the fabrics bright and attractive, in keeping with the Menorcan farmhouse style.
