Jungleside House is located just five minutes walk from the beach at Wewelgoda just south of the popular Sri Lankan resort of Hikkaduwa, its right in the middle of the largest and most beautiful bay in the South West of Sri Lanka. The Jungle house at Hikkaduwa has its own private garden and provides you with a very comfortable base from where to enjoy everything that the area has to offer, such as surfing, diving, snorkeling, fishing or just basking on the beach in the Sri Lankan sunshine! Situation After watching the last of the sun dip down into the Indian Ocean, relax around an open fire with seafood BBQ or take a stroll along the beach and sample some Hikkaduwa nightlife. Maybe you'll be lucky enough to see local fishermen hauling in their catch, or later on at night, a turtle coming ashore to lay her eggs! Enjoy all the advantages that come with renting your own holiday villa in Hikkaduwa and take everything at your own pace. You can choose to visit the nearby resorts and spa's (non guests admitted at most 5 star hotels), or you my wish to take some day trips down the coast surfing, whale watching, dining, hotel hopping, shopping or visiting heritage sites like the beautiful Galle Fort (with cricket grounds). We can also organise Southern Province and Sri Lanka-wide tours (Now including Jaffna Peninsula). Tuk Tuk's taxi's and scooter hire are readily available so there is no need to walk any where if the weather is too hot. The House (For Rent or Lease) The house is fully 4G WiFi connected, has three spacious double bedrooms, two of which are en-suite, three wet rooms (hot water showers), there are also two outdoor cold water showers on split levels, one main downstairs kitchen/diner and one 1st floor outdoor shared kitchenette on the large balcony. The ground floor has an open veranda where you can relax in the hammock. On the first floor a 54 feet balcony with hammocks and on the 2nd floor is a spacious yoga and yoga gym terrace. The beautiful mature garden has many fruit plants, banana, mango, pineapple, papaya, coconut and more. Each of the beds and chairs are professionally cut and hand carved from timber grown in the garden. All of the beds and steamer chairs were deliberately made over size, and the kitchen / dining table easily seats 6, this really is indoor and outdoor relaxation at its best. N.B.
