Details of the Villa

Villanova is an elegant Art-Nouveau villa immersed in the Umbrian countryside in the whereabouts of Perugia. A beautiful park with century-old trees separates the villa from the vineyards, cultivated fields and orchards which surround it. The network of paths are ideal for pleasant and relaxing walks reaching a lake, home to swans, ducks and geese. The building dates back to the early 20th century keeping all the allure of that era and is built on three floors joined by an remarkable wooden stairway (for the guests’ exclusive use), to the north, and with backstairs and a lift (also used by the caretaker of the villa), to the south. It has recently been modernized with all the amenities necessary nowadays for a truly comfortable and elegant accommodation. In a corner of the park, there is a wide solarium terrace with changing rooms, toilet, barbeque and cooking area for romantic, outdoor meals next to the pool (15x8, 1.10-3m deep)(01/05-30/09). The villa is ideal for groups of friends or large families who want to spend their holidays alternating cultural outings to historic towns like Perugia and Assisi with sports such as golf or boat trips on Lake Trasimeno. The most famous towns in southern Tuscany such as Arezzo, Chiusi, Montepulciano and others are within easy reach. The villa has central heating, baby bed and wi-fi Internet connection. A maid, cookery courses and a chef are all available but must be requested when booking. Car park on the property. PLEASE NOTE: The caretaker lives with his family in a separate apartment on the second floor, accessible from the secondary entrance and the backstairs. The guests have exclusive use of the entrance and main stairway. Arrivals must be between 4pm and 7pm. ACCOMMODATION: (700 m2) Gr.
