It is the only resort in the Canary Islands to combine two eighteen-hole courses on the same site and is situated just minutes from the towns of Meloneras and Maspalomas and all that they have to offer in the way of beaches, restaurants, bars and leisure facilities. The area is well-known for its vast expanses of coastal dunes, a protected site that covers over a thousand acres. You can explore much of this area on foot, taking in sights such as the beautiful lagoon and lighthouse, but we recommend taking a camel safari for a truly unique and fun way to experience this incredible landscape. If you're looking to get some shopping in during your stay at Salobre Golf Resort, you'll be pleased to know that there are some fantastic outdoor markets to visit in the area, both during the week and on Saturdays, with stalls selling everything from clothing and jewellery to arts, crafts and fresh produce. The aloe vera plant is native to Gran Canaria, so you'll find a wide array of aloe vera products on sale at the markets here - so be sure to grab some locally-sourced skincare during your visit! If you're looking for a higher-end shopping experience, we recommend heading to Boulevard Faro, where you'll find well-known labels like La Perla, Burberry and Tommy Hilfiger. A little further along the seafront, you'll find the popular Bellavista and El Varadero shopping centres, as well as even more cafes, bars and restaurants to enjoy.
